I also wear mine crossbody style now (when I first got mine, around the waist). Believe it or not, I thought the crossbody style looked dumber than around the waist at first (and I got one for convenience, not lewks!). Eventually I started wearing it crossbody like everyone else. I’m like that with a lot of trends, though. I resisted skinny jeans at first, now I’m resisting letting them go. I should just lean on in to trends I’m unsure of since it seems I tend to hop on board eventually.
I absolutely bought mine for convenience! At the beginning of the pandemic, the husband I were still going to the grocery store. I was always in work out clothes. I didn’t want to carry a real purse, but I still needed keys, my card, my mask and hand sanitizer. Since we don’t own a car and walk to the store and carry groceries home, this was the best option. I did do the waist thing for the first few walks. Didn’t love it. Switched to crossbody.
If I got around in a car in lieu of walking everywhere, I’d probably still have a full size purse, honestly.
LOL. I also forgot about that but do remember that now. I often agreed with BGM, but the delivery was usually quite harsh, particularly when someone wrote in and you could tell they were out of sorts. He’d die at my growing collection of arch support shoes. If I drove anywhere, I’d have cooler bags and shoes.
Also, last spring I bought a dupe of Lululemon’s Ebb to Street tank on Amazon. I was just made aware of a cropped version yesterday and it was on sale, so I pulled the trigger. The regular length one was a good dupe, but kind of long for someone like me on the petite side. Per the reviews, the length of the cropped one is good for petites who don’t want to show midriff but also don’t want to have all that fabric bunching.
This is timely, I went to work today and saw my friend who I helped get a job there. She’s like, “I have a present for you,” and it was a bag! It’s the absolute ideal work bag for me because it’s a preppy LL Bean tote, with the green handles which are my company’s color, and it has “Finance” embroidered on it in pink script 😭. I took my tote organizer right out of my other bag and put it in this one and it fit perfectly. I’m so happy with it! It can be a beach bag too.
I have a ridiculous yellow cap that says Finance on it, so she knew I would like this bag.
Oh, I read something recently about embroidered totes with random or identifying or some kind of word was super popular. While reading that, I wanted to order an LL Bean tote and get “fuck off’ embroidered.

There’s a vogue article too. It says they will do up to 10 characters and not profane, so they’d probably do F Off or Eff Off.
