My un-learning journey began in my mid-20’s too, but I always have been rebelling these thoughts internally and not having enough motivation around did not know right way to protest and kind of made me do toxic stuff. I have now become a person I wanted to be when I was in early 20s, it took time but I am glad I got here. Thanks for sharing your story and sorry you had to experience that!

You should mind being called a girl, when you are an adult woman. It’s a way of infantilizing you, another (not so) subtle sexist remark that shouldn’t be waved off or ignored, you should pay attention to those micro-aggressions.
