Aw, thanks Booknerd. Yeah I’ve been there. It’s in a really cute town, very Tyrolean. Bolzano, Italy. I’m kind of obsessed with him. I wouldn’t mind being a mummy with a whole museum all my own, with my clothes and shoes and gadgets and bags on display. Right??
SimonthegreyFebruary 23, 2015 at 10:12 pm #337898Re funeral industry – my mom and I have had a few talks and both my parents want me to buy simple pine boxes from the Trappist monastery near here that makes them (it’s how the monks support themselves, I guess?). I wonder how that’s going to go, show up at the funeral home with a bag of clothes and the pine box, ask them to not embalm and just pop mom in there? I dunno.
booknerdFebruary 23, 2015 at 11:19 pm #337915Totally @kate. I think that’s a pretty sweet idea, @simonthegrey. That’s what I’d like, or maybe my body filled with seeds and dumped in the ground, no chemicals.
February 24, 2015 at 7:10 am #337938You guys have probably heard about the monk then they found in the lotus position, the monks say he is not dead, but in some kind of state….so technically alive. Obviously my atheist self does not believe this…but still interesting stuff! And then! Scientists recently found a skeleton in a buddhist statue.
