Yes, as a legal child, pleeeease don’t use your full name, picture, location, info about your school, etc. on a public site. We have no idea who’s reading this.

Ha ha, Leon. You sound so nice and reasonable. What you’re doing is different, how? He asked why no one liked his story. We answered. And explained. And explained a different way. Who was nasty about it? Who showed self entitlement?

Theres a difference between empathy and telling people that they’re right when they’re not. The latter does them no favors.

Just curious, what kind of audience DOES this site have anyway?

I don’t know, Wendy knows the numbers, but A LOT. People read it from all over the world. But I mean just in general, don’t put all your personal info out there online. Your YouTube channel has your full name on it too. I looked at your social media, and I feel like you could clean it up and lock it down more, especially if you’re trying to get babysitting jobs.

No, I mean who’s this site aimed at, and what kind of stuff is usually discussed here? Also, what do you mean by clean up and lock down my social media profles?

Oh, I mean, it’s mostly for adults, about dating and relationships and family and work stuff. It’s not a teen forum. Most people commenting here on your thread are like 30-70 years old.

So I saw you’re advertising for babysitting, but you have a lot of childish memes and stuff, some of which are kind of vulgar, and I know you use foul language. If I was a parent looking for a sitter, I’d want to see a more professional vibe online.

Childish? It’s mostly all Family Guy memes, and I thought that show was supposed to be for adults, (even though I’ve been watching it since I was like 7, lol).

Right, and some of them, like I said, are vulgar. That would make me look elsewhere as a mom. Look, take it or leave it, but I’m sure it’s harder anyway for a boy to get hired as a sitter than a girl, and the FB you’re using to try to get jobs should make you look mature and professional. Yours really doesn’t. Anyway, the bigger message here is be careful what identifying info you put online.

It found a home among children who came of age after the simpsons but before Youtube and Netflix and every kid had a smart-pad/phone/chrome-book.

Try to remember that other people don’t know whether you are what they believe to be a good person.

If you’re serious about babysitting and you want to use FB to advertise, I’d recommend having a private FB with nothing visible but a profile pic, and then a professional FB for babysitting where you are just connected with parents, babysitting groups, and other professional network stuff, and you post things like your CPR certification, your hours of availability, recommendations from parents you’ve worked for, your skills and specialties, and other babysitting related content. No mom wants to see Family Guy, sexual innuendos, Mortal Kombat, and an essay you wrote about middle school.

But again, the bigger point is just be careful what information you put out there about yourself.
