January 13, 2018 at 10:35 am #735838Same feelings here. First husband was this emotional high but also blinded me to the real problems, and when I stopped feeling so crushingly in love, he was still demanding these overarching declarations. Like, needed to dig into my past to make sure all these little things were ‘firsts’ Or that I’d never had this connection before. It ended up being a part I played in my own life.
Obviously I had some strong andstill have strong sexual connection to RadioStar, but the ‘just knowing’ comes from feeling secure in this relationship and with myself. I’m the truest me while also being a we.
December 20, 2017 at 5:51 pm #730415Nope, but I think his kids recognized their ‘dad’s friend’ (they’re all 20’s and 30’s).
In her mind, she just wants him to be honest. “hey there’s someone else” and stop making promises to her to hang out that he has zero intention of keeping. anyway, that was pretty much like.. okay thanks universe.
December 20, 2017 at 5:31 pm #730413i was at shakespeare theater on sunday seeing the Q Brothers Christmas Carol with a friend.. and the guy she had seen and then seen off and on (he was sorta shady) was there and SAT BEHIND US with his entire family and his girlfriend who he has never been honest with my friend about (she suspects and can confirm that there was overlap.. and his excuses for not dating my friend were always ‘ i have to fix myself’.) anyway.. so thats a run in for sure
i have nightmares that I will run into my exhusband at an industry event
December 20, 2017 at 1:01 pm #730384@Rangerchic… yes they were pretty good. I mean, it’s not something I would make a habit of, but they weren’t bad at all.

October 23, 2017 at 12:41 pm #724953I pretty much dated engineers or more analytical people. First husband was an engineer but not a frat guy (although he did live in a house with 8 guys), but he had that ‘charming’ characteristic which was, in reality, narcissism and general asshattery. college boyfriend was business but ROTC and fraternity dude. Also charming. total sweetheart though and owned his douchey-ness (almost made it comedic).
RadioStar: also engineer and was in a fratnerity (I was in a sorority, but again, we were both at nerd-schools), so he’s more of the responsible fraternity guy. He has the charming and fun personality but rounds it out well with loyalty and honesty. If I had met him 10 years ago, he may not have been the right person for me, but with some life behind him, it works well.
October 23, 2017 at 12:27 pm #724948@Copa, well I’m an engineer and I think you’re fabulous 🙂
Sorry to hear about thing with CT, but hope you have a good chat with the therapist tonight
