@veritek33 – you know, I kinda wish the ppl on this thread would all come to your house for a housewarming party part 2, and bring lots of wine, champagne and orange juice, and delicious food. We can make such an epic party.

Also, we could turn up some great podcasts, whip out our laptops or tablets accessing your wifi, and post under totally different names on this forum (with lots of inside jokes).

We can also lament about shitty cousins/friends/dates/etc.

That would be a great party. I’d go to MO for that.

Ugh, I wish I knew there were DW people in MO when I was driving around MO/IL doing fieldwork a few years ago. It was a very lonely month…

Totally busting into this post because I wanna crash this party. Also! Have you guys seen this from NPR? http://earbud.fm/

It’s a collection of the best podcasts (according to listeners, celebrities, other podcasters). I’m obsessed.

Let’s do it. I’m happy to host. I’ll make snacks. BYOB. And you have to be willing to put up with two fat beagles and an asshole cat. Missouri meetup FTW!

Thanks Ktfran, i’m really looking forward to it and he told me yesterday that he’s very excited to see me so I think it’s going to be fun

I have a fantastic date planned with my significant other this Saturday. I plan on purchasing flowers and then going to nice steak house for shrimp cocktail, high end cocktails and big juicy steaks. Followed up by a night of dancing with friends. Sleeping in on Sunday with a nice brunch and maybe a little “enjoyment”

I would suggesting staying away from free dating sites like Tinder and Ok Cupid. For one every guy knows tinder is primarily used for hooking up maybe something short term. Invest in yourself and invest in your future by paying a bit for something like match.com or etc.

@Jimmyjam, I’ll say some guys use free sites for hooking up but a lot don’t. I met my girlfriend on Tinder, and know a few other couples who did as well. My history of free sites was always go on a date in see what happens. Sometimes they turned into hookups, sometimes it was short term dating, and sometimes it was dates that could have turned into long term relationships if either of was interested. It’s pretty easy to figure out what people are looking for on them.

I’m going to agree with MrMid… I know 3 couples that got married after meeting on Plenty of Fish, and another couple who are now living together after meeting on Tinder. I think like with anything, it’s a numbers game and you just have to weed out the individuals who aren’t right for you.
