@JD I think what I hate the most is when people are like “You’re so thin, it’s not fair.” No, it is fair. I pay attention to what I eat, I exercise and I treat my body right. Sorry you don’t do those things.

I have also always gotten a million comments on what I eat, when I eat and how I eat. I really don’t get why anyone feels it’s ok to make any of those comments. It really baffles me.

I once had a girl, who, if I was going to be as rude as her, could use avoiding the cheeseburgers, walking behind me say to her boyfriend “my god she needs a cheeseburger!” I seriously cried for 20 mins. My boyfriend was livid and held back is desire to say something to her. Best part is, she said this, causing her boyfriend to look at me, then continue to stare at me the whole time. Good job babe, you just basically told your boyfriend to check me out for your entire meal.

This is what I usually get the first time I dine with new people… “Wow, you eat a lot for such a little person, where do you put it all?” My go to retort is to shrug and look sheepish and say “I’m blessed with high metabolism.” Probably pisses them off, but what am I supposed to say? It’s true. I do eat a lot but I’m not an exerciser. But I do eat really well during the week and when at home. Lots of vegetable dishes. Some chicken or pork. Lots of homemade, broth-based soups. I indulge when I go out. I also walk a lot. The most I’ve fluctuated since college is 5 lbs.

Speaking of, the husband is traveling next week for work. I just planned out my meals for the weeks. Next week is a reset week after the holiday’s. I ate/drank more dairy than I care to admit.

Yes! I eat quite a bit, and I eat a lot of carbs. People assume I eat only salads and no meat. Not sure why.

On a side note – has anyone done the fake eyelash extensions?

I have been so interested in them, although my own aren’t bad, not amazing but ok, but am so nervous about it. I have seen/heard some horror stories. I also am concerned with how long they last. Not sure I am up for shelling out money for a few weeks of the lasting. I would be curious to know more though because all of my concerns could be totally wrong. I could for sure see doing it for an important even when i wanted to look fabulous. Also curious for info from anyone who has done it.

I think they’re awesome! I’ve never gotten them, but they look SO good on people. My friend got them before her wedding & honeymoon. She’s a blonde with typically not super thick or dark lashes. She LOVED the extensions and I thought they looked so good. My understanding is you do have to lie down without moving for quite a while, and get them filled in like every 6 weeks. Or you can just do them once, it’s fine. She found a groupon for hers I think. I’ve also seen her in the magnetic lashes, and those were overkill for a weekday imo. The extensions are not.

So, what happens if you don’t get them filled? Do they just fall out on their own? I don’t know anything about them!

Yes, they gradually fall out, because they are attached to your real lashes and those fall out constantly. I’m not sure if you have to go get them all removed if you’re not going to maintain them. I doubt it but maybe.

    They look SO good, seriously.

I have these horrible short and straight eyelashes. I’m debating doing extensions and a couple fills (to ensure no major reaction to the glue) for the wedding so I don’t have to worry about mascara running or anything like that. I’ve had 2 friends locally do it and they love it. I’ve never done the false lashes, so I’m unsure. Someone said Ulta does an application for like $10. Debating trying that out for a day. But those wouldn’t last and where we are getting married there’s no Ulta. I assume those falsies last a day?

Ya falsies last a day, or until i rip them off in the car on my drive home where they live in my cup holder.

Although I haven’t done it, I do believe you should get them removed. They’re glued to your real eyelashes and as your lashes grow you’ll have these weird glue dots.

I’m overweight. I eat too much and don’t exercise. My mom is TINY. Like XSP tiny. Folding her clothing is like folding doll clothing. I know people don’t think my mom eats. She does, she’s just very careful. But she’s also a little bonkers. She would eat carrots and hummus and then decided carrots had too many carbs so she’s switched to green beans.

I watched her eat a beignet a few months ago, that was astounding.

I wore a pair of Benefit false lashes at my wedding and was very happy with them. They look good in pictures too. I had gotten my makeup done at Benefit and bought the products I needed, then my friend helped me apply my eye makeup including the lashes on the day of the wedding because it was in Mexico. I’m sure you know someone who can put your falsies on for you if you go that route.

I would do lash extensions, it’s just that I already spend plenty of money on hair and nails on a regular basis so I don’t feel like I can justify it. But I think I would love them.
