We’re all supposed to be watching what we eat too at work, but we ordered 12 boxes from this 7-year-old kid. I also bought from some girls in the T station. Their mom had a credit card thingy.

I’m working a huge tournament so my entire week and a half has been lunch sandwiches and hotel food, sometimes not even that because we get back too late for food service. I’m so sick of it. *sigh* only 3 days to go.

The building I work in has a regional Girl Scout office/meeting space. Not quite sure what it is, but there are always Girl Scouts in our lobby around this time of year with their delectable cookies. I have little self control with samoas and tagalongs.

Aldi sells what are basically Tagalongs for 95 cents year round FYI. They are pretty comparable. Husband always gets them.

They’re one of my “banned” foods. Ha! I try not to keep ’em in the house because I know I’ll eat them.

I was eating them a little until I read it was 70 calories per cookie. That ruined it for me.

I am sooooo tired of being sick. One day slightly better then back to feeling like crap. I’d go to the doctor at this point but the roads are hell right now and the only way there is up a steep hill I’ve not been able to get up before in bad weather, so no thanks. Luckily husband can telework today and tomorrow. We already had somewhat bad roads now freezing rain. Yuck.

Considering saying screw eating well today and ordering something yummy to be delivered. Comfort food much needed. Probably smarter to find a nice soup recipe for my Instant Pot, which I’ve been using non stop since I finally opened it and set it up.

My city became abruptly super cold yesterday. Hound of Fyodor, who is normally super eager to go out, has to be picked up off the couch and carried downstairs this morning, because it was so cold and she didn’t want to go outside (she is 50 pounds).

Aww poor baby. My dog went poop in the house today and as annoyed as I was, I looked outside and thought, well ya, obviously. He was slipping and sliding just walking outside to pee. I don’t blame him. I tend to put a puppy pad down on really icky days as I know there is a higher chance of it happening since it’s so gross outside. The night before last it was -8 outside!

My dog seems unaffected by the cold. Sunday was bitterly cold (real feels well below 0) and I hadn’t really taken him on a great walk yet by the time evening came around, and I had to run to the (dog-friendly) Amazon store, which is about a 7-10 min walk each way. So I bundled us both up and he was SO excited to be outside. I, on the other hand, was miserable. His booties are made of durable fabric, and have velcro and a soft sole. They make a great sound when he walks, like the noise of a horse clomping but quieter and quicker, and I tell him he has happy feet.

It’s interesting how some animals react to the cold. For 20 years I had two cats (both now deceased) that had very different responses.

The boy cat wanted to go out no matter how cold it was. When the air temperature dropped below -15 F, I would still let him out, but call him back in after about 15 minutes because I was worried about him.

The girl cat was exactly the opposite. One of her tenets of life was “No snow is ever going to touch these cat toes.”

My dog that went inside was my husbands technically. She sees snow and nopes right out of there. My dog, and I was worried when we move here, doesn’t give 2 craps and will hang out in the snow for a long time. It is funny how different they take it.

They said we would get a light dusting and we have at least 6 inches on the ground and it is still falling. We are about to walk to the bodega to get some coffee so at least no one in our house is killed. School was cancelled today as well.
