@hfantods – when FMH and I were long distance that line up was literally our first 4 visits. It was annoying! I feel your pain!!

Wait, is Kmen getting hitched? Did I miss that announcement by forgetting to lurk on a page of this thread?!

I didn’t do professional makeup but wish I had – Our pictures turned out very nicely but my lipstick had worn away before the ceremony and I forgot to reapply! Coulda, shoulda… I had been planning to do my hair myself but one of my best friends was horrified at the thought, and gave me a very generous gift certificate to my hair salon as a wedding gift. She’s the best – and was totally right, I definitely should not have tried an up-do on my own.

@hfantods Are you on the pill? If so, you can use it to your advantage by choosing when TOM happens.

    LOVE the hairstyle, @thehizzy!

Thanks for all the compliments on the hair pick. I’m just under 4 months out now so my brain has officially turned to “what can I check off this week”

I hate printed address labels so I have hand addressed half of our invites this week and I should get them all done Saturday.

I’m thinking of some fun places to send invites to. I’m going to send one to our favorite recording artist, maybe one to the Obamas if they still have an address for that. Where else would be something fun to send?

TheHizzy, I love the hair! I think that’ll look great with the dress too.

I got my hair and makeup professionally done and I’m so glad I did. The thing I appreciated most about the makeup was that she did everything to make it last all day. Same with the hair really, so I didn’t have to worry about leaving the party to fix any of that. Big weight off my shoulders.

Oh, I just saw that Lin-Manuel Miranda responded to someone’s wedding invite…

Guys! I ate so much chocolate cake last night! BG and I had talked about Valentine’s Day, and I told him it’s not a big deal to me, I don’t expect gifts, but I do like acknowledging it with a nice dinner or something. So he cooked for me last night. And also had flowers, and a heart shaped chocolate cake, and small gift (bath bombs). And a card! It’s been a really long week at work as I prep to be out of the office for a couple weeks, and it’s been exhausting… so I really appreciated someone making dinner for me. (All I had for him was a card that I forgot at home. Oops!)

I am a sucker for giving sentimental cards. I really like picking out greeting cards and write a lot in them. This is true no matter my relationship to the card recipient, not just for boyfriends — so anyone who gets a card from me basically gets a hand written letter full of feels! BG picked up on this pretty quickly and now he gets me sentimental cards. I don’t expect it, but I love receiving them!

    That’s so fun @copa!

The husband and I went to Dear Evan Hansen last night. It was so, so, so good. It’s not here long, but coming back July 2020 and ticket go on sale Tuesday. Just an Fyi. Oh my god, so good.

@Copa that sounds like such a nice night!

We did tacos (our favorite) and watched a show together. Perfect in my books. No flowers for my cat to throw up 🙂

We normally stay home and cook or order in. I’m also craving tacos. Dinner tomorrow night!

I’m not a big valentine’s person and neither is he…. last night was a complete anomaly because we have season tickets and it happened that our tickets to Dear Evan Hansen fell on Valentine’s day. We can usually exchange for another date, but all ticket holders received an e-mail that you couldn’t with this show since it was sold out.

Thanks for the sympathy all, haha. No I’m not on the pill.

All of your Valentine’s sounds so lovely! I won orchestra tickets in a draw from a conference last week so we are doing that tonight as well as finally using a restaurant gift certificate I’ve had for a couple years, oops. It’s been a horrible week at work. The matter is still not over but I’ll try to enjoy the long weekend.

2 days of unpacking. Two broken TVs. Ugh. And now husbands car is making some very concerning noises.

Happy to have all my stuff but good grief I have so many clothes. It’s insane. Four clothing racks worth, a full dresser (and not a small one) and my jeans and workout pants folded elsewhere. I knew I liked to shop but seeing it all after living without it for a while was a slap in the face. Fun though because it’s like having a whole new wardrobe.

We unpacked and ate pizza yesterday. I’m not super big on V day usually just cook sometimes yummy and cuddle, but it was pretty much blown off. We did exchange cards. I’ve been unpacking all day while husband has helped/ ran errands for me. I can tell he’s stressed right now and feel bad but when he is he just has to burn it off so letting him do that. It’s sucks not being able to help him with stress though. My ex really was different in how he handled it and i could talk him through it. Neither are better just learning how to be supportive since it’s different.

I can’t wait for a bath and a muscle relaxer. I really don’t ever take them but It is inevitable today. My back is screaming.
