Eek, I did our taxes last night and we have to pay in for the first time ever! And it’s not a small amount (to me) either 🙁 We were thinking of getting some new carpet soon but now have to put it off a little while to pay off the damn government. Kind of pisses me off. We’ve always had my husbands withholdings as “married but withhold at higher single rate”. And still have to pay in. We don’t make that much money!
@ale I was the same at 34, and quite fine with it and next thing I know I was married by the time my 36th birthday rolled around. Go figure. We didn’t move crazy fast as we had known each other a long time but I wouldn’t seriously date someone out of state as he moved during knowing him….but here I am in another state. Haha. Crazy how fast things can change. The only thing I didn’t love about being single then was waiting too long and missing a chance to have kids.
March 1, 2019 at 12:45 pm #834174Forgot – congrats @K! I don’t think I recall reading you got engaged (or I forgot). Either way congrats again!
KMarch 1, 2019 at 12:49 pm #834177Thanks @Ale and @Rangerchic! Yes, it took him a long time to truly be ready but once he was, he moved quickly – he asked me to pick out a ring, I sent him what I wanted a week later, and he proposed the week after that – the day after the ring arrived!
Ugh we are still paying his ex wife’s taxes. We changed everything so we basically get nothing back. She didn’t pay taxes while he was deployed and being at war, kind of wasn’t able to control it. Lovely lady. I think she owes like 7k and is paying $100/month.
Arg I want my Fabfitfun box to ship. They used to give dates now it just says beginning of March. Gimme.
I saw there’s a diffuser which is great because I was about to buy a second one.
I keep seeing the celeb posted pics of their boxes and am trying not to look too close so I ruin the surprise.
Hi guys! Back from my trip, where I was pickpocketed my first morning (huge bummer considering I always travel with a zipped crossbody bag for security, but glad my passport was not inside my travel wallet) but otherwise had a great time. Cape Town is beautiful, but it was pretty eye-opening to see how the wealthy residents live versus those in the townships outside the city center. The wedding I attended was so much fun! I think my friend who got married and her husband are a truly fantastic couple. I tend to cry at weddings, but OMG I lost my shit as soon as the bridesmaids started walking down the aisle. So happy for them. Saw BG for a few hours yesterday and he told me I was pretty even though I was a zombie — he’s Ireland-bound today and won’t be back until late next week. The jet lag is very real over here and I cannot wait for this work day to end.
Interesting update regarding my inability to get a dang RX filled. Pharmacist said this doctors office is the absolute worst about refills, so it’s not just me. That doesn’t help but make me feel better since it isn’t just me. I felt like I was being treated as a drug seeker….for trying to fill a script I am allowed to monthly, but only do every 3 months (face palm). I had an appointment with him but then the Midwest decided to be -45 so it was cancelled (as was the whole state) so I now have it this Friday. I am going to address it then. Still changing doctors but at least it’ll be brought up and I will get my referral I need for PT (just ongoing issues with my prior broken femur that are never going to end when you break the biggest bone in your body).
Oh, I made zoodles for the first time last night with my Kitchen Aid mixer attachment I was given for xmas two ago. Now it is all I want to eat of course. Also fun!
