@MoneyPenny We haven’t been dating nearly as long, and like I’ve mentioned, he travels quite a bit for work during the week. We normally do overnights on weekends at his place. I have a dog, so any weeknight sleepovers are at my place when he’s not on the road. We generally spend more time at his place, and this is fine, but I wouldn’t like if I felt like I was living my life out of a suitcase. I’m happy with this amount for now, which is good because it won’t change unless/until he has a new job.
And yes, come to Chicago. We have beautiful architecture, a lovely lake, and ridiculously good food.
TheHizzyMarch 6, 2019 at 1:19 pm #834788In college I would stay over at my boyfriend at the time’s place on Saturday nights only. He had a roommate and shared a room.
Post college I never dated very seriously. I would stay a couple nights ever couple weeks with a few guys. I rarely let them stay at my place.
LucidityMarch 6, 2019 at 1:23 pm #834790I don’t remember what day we first had sex or had our first date, but we both remember the date we realized we were in love, because I took him to the Blue Jays’ home opening game that day. It was a really great date. I fell in love that night, and he told me years later that was the day he knew he was in love with me. Partly because of what a good time we had, but also because he’d never had a girl plan and surprise him with something that she didn’t really like but knew he would love.
Before we moved in together we slept at each others’ places anywhere from 1-3 times per week.
March 6, 2019 at 1:51 pm #834800I would love to come visit Chicago! I went in 2013 for a conference, which was really fun. I managed to be there during Architecture Week so I was able to take some tours of some really cool buildings. And it was cold. (In October it was more like December/January weather where I live.)
Regarding staying over, I am happy to spend my evenings with him. I just wish I had a day so that I could go clean out my closet in my apartment like I’ve been wanting to, ha. I also have two drawers and almost an entire closet at his place, but I have a lot of clothes so… And I have a ballet bag (all of my dance stuff for multiple classes), workout bag (workout clothes/shoes), and the overnight bag. My car’s trunk can get a little packed!
As an aside, I’m going to be in a performance of Carnival of the Animals. I’m a kangaroo and a bird, and I have to make a bird costume. I’m kind of excited, I decided I’m going to model my costume after a macaw.
I did but didn’t get a really good answer, he’s been working so much lately I’ve barely got to actually talk to him. Luckily the project ends next week. I actually feel bad for his whole team, they are all working 13 plus hour days. Baking cookies for them currently. Ok well baking cookies for them because I want some but don’t want the temptation in my house and they will be pleased too. Haha
Plus trying to get a sentimental gift not a use for a while and it’s gone gift. I think I’m just too tired to even think about it clearly. My dog is killin me. He is waking me up every hour until 4am begging to go potty. Took his water away earlier last evening. He has to stop! Also hoping he’s ok, seems fine but odd for the constant wake ups. Watching him in case there’s a reason beyond driving me nuts that he’s wanting to go out so much.
I found out recently they don’t do the return to Tiffany thing with the keychains anymore. Was kinda bummed. I still have mine. Got one for my ex when he bought his first house.
Hmmm, giving me ideas.
Ya just hoping he’s not sick or something as he is almost 12. Seems healthy and active. He seriously has to stop though. One time last night he didn’t even want to go out, just I guess wanted to go into the other room. I tried to sleep in and let husband take them out in the morning but HIS dog now only lets me take her out in the am. She won’t go with him but will bark until she gets let out. Both of them are becoming very high maintenance.
