He might have the dog equivalent of OAB and maybe could take meds for it. Worth a vet visit to figure it out. Of course I just paid $420 for a routine vet check-up and shots.

The Tiffany keychain he has is leather. He picked it out and I bought it.

What’s the occasion? One of my coworkers got her fiance a cocktail subscription box as a gift once and I filed it away as a gift idea for BG.

Ya I was thinking if it continues I am taking him to the vet. Last night was the worst but it has been building up more and more. Oh and don’t worry he is snoring in my ear napping just fine. Glad he is catching up on sleep.

@Copa it’s our first wedding anniversary.

We pretty much lived together from day one, it was weird. I always kept my place but I had a housemate so we usually stayed at his place. Honestly I did a lot of the stuff we advise others not to do but I always had money and a way out if it went south. I do know I officially moved in with him after I got back from the London games because he was looking after my cat there anyway lol.

JD does your husband enjoy fine booze or anything? I know he likes pool but that’s hard to theme a gift around.

He does. Ya I was trying to think of something pool related. I’m looking at these nice bags though right now. He needs one that holds more sticks so I might have decided on that. A bit difficult to weed through since most have Hello Kitty or flames. Haha. I think I found one that looks nice though and I can have his initials embossed.

Shopping for men has always been a struggle for me. My ex, I would buy very nice gifts he’d had asked for and later find them in his trunk never opened. I think it makes me nervous so I over think it. But, he was a dick and my husband isn’t so I shouldn’t worry.

Men really are damn hard to buy for. Mine just buys whatever he wants when he wants it so when a gift giving occasion comes around there’s nothing he needs. We tend to do experiences now more than gifts, it’s just easier.

I wanted to do an experience thing but it’s always at the damn whim of his ex wife and if she will follow through with her visitation times. Anything around here would involve an overnight and we can’t leave him alone obviously. I’m planning on booking something this summer. But again, will she even book tickets in advance, no. Will she take the first half of the summer like she supposed to or the second or all (which we allow even though per the agreement she has half). She’s a pain in the rear.

A 16/17 year old can’t stay home alone? My parents used to go away for days. Would he have a party or what?

We aren’t comfortbele with it. Plus his friends aren’t a great crowd. We can’t control him spending time with them at school but we don’t allow him to hang with the pot smoking kids outside of that. He has stayed a night alone twice I think but he was on the phone with husband non stop. It would be the opposite of relaxing.

I don’t think he is one who would do things wrong but he is kind of the kid who would want to make friends or make them happy so more susceptible to peer pressure. He cut a cord of a very expensive microscope last year at school, because druggie friend told him to. Face palm.

He has other friends we don’t worry about but the bad influence lives closest to us. Idiot smoked pot right in front of me in front of my house. And I know one time he had him over when we didn’t know because said idiot let something slip that made it clear. Idiot being the pot smoker not my son. He’s not an idiot at all.

So I was thinking about remembering dates this morning. I don’t really remember FMH and I’s milestone dates but I remember one date like it’s my job……

The date of my back surgery.

To add onto the feels this week when I was laid up on my couch FMH slept on the floor next to me. Being on the couch would force me to stay in one position that I could sleep in and not strain to move. I kept telling FMH to go to bed and he refused. He wanted to be near me if I needed anything. Even when my mom came down to help and keep my company post op he still slept there until I was finally able to sleep in a bed. Since my back surgery 17 months ago I have slept on the couch by accident 4 times. I sure the fuck don’t miss that.

That is really sweet that he slept next to yo on the floor. Giving me all the feels.

Oh @Kate, last night was the other dog. We think she has an ear infection because she woke up and was rubbing her ears on the floor and such for half an our. We are taking her to the vet tomorrow. These little monsters are killing me in the sleep department. On the upside taking away my kids water earlier for the past couple days, taking him out an extra time, still helped. He woke me up once but not as bad as it has been.
