So many dogs drink irresponsibly and their owners are left cleaning up their messes.

I have seen the guy a couple more times and I am still unsure about my feelings. It would be great to have a FWB situation here since we have sexual chemistry but I wouldn’t pursue that knowing that he is looking for a relationship and I feel like he is much more into me.

It was perfect in every manner. Lots of beach time, good food, minimal booze and just overall a good time. It was nice to have such a mix of friends. I had people I’ve known my whole life to people I have known for about 3 years. Just 7 of us, so not too crazy. Sure didn’t get enough sleep, but that’s perfectly OK by me.

I am rocking a sweet tan.

Hey virtual friends, my town in Missouri got hit by a tornado last night and it’s looking pretty rough. We somehow came out unscathed but two blocks over was hit hard. Please send good thoughts.

I’m so sorry to hear that, @veritek33. As a meteorologist I always keep an eye on severe weather outbreaks and saw that MO was hit hard yesterday. Thinking of you and your town, and hoping there were no fatalities.

Sorry to hear @veritek! I saw footage of JC on the news this morning while I was getting ready for work, and it looked pretty bad. It must’ve been really scary, too. I’m glad you’re safe, and hope your manfriend, parents, and friends are, too.

No fatalities, minor injuries and the path of the tornado narrowly missed the hospital and capitol building. Apartment complex leveled. My old office building is gone. My friend’s photography studio is gone.

All my loved ones accounted for and safe. It’s starting to hit us as the day goes on just how close our house was to the path of destruction. Never ignore a tornado signal. Ever.

I am a big weather buff, as much as I enjoy learning about them, they are one force of nature to be respected. Glad you are all safe, hope that the community can come together and help one another.

Glad your family is also safe, @MG. I’ve spent probably half if not more of my life in the midwest at this point, though not in Tornado Alley. Tornadoes have always scared me big time. I used to get really panicked during tornado watches and warnings when I was younger. I’ve only heard tornado sirens in my city once, and our siren ‘song’ is actually kinda eerie when you pair it with stormy weather (it sounds like a warning from aliens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFKqf1mYV2c).

We had numerous tornados and warnings in Minneapolis growing up. I spent several nights/weekends in the basement without power!

and yes, chicago’s siren is CREEPY, but I believe most of the cities have upgraded to these new sirens.
