@MG Did you contact Costco about it? I’ve had a handful of packages stolen over the years and have always had great responses from the retailers. They’ve always either reshipped the item for free or refunded me in full.

Ugh that sucks MG! Hope Costco can do something for you.

I have had the brush for 3.5 years. It still holds up. The Dyson air wrap looks incredible. It’s just the price… haha.

I’ve never been able to/taken the time to learn how to curl my hair. I can’t do the flippy blow out style with the Revlon without it looking weird (to me).

I still love my revlon brush. I have considered the John Frieda one, because I keep hearing good things about it but I feel slightly silly considering buying another hot brush tool.

My hair is the longest it’s been in years. I also have a ton of new hair growth that’s like, 1.5-2.5” long. It looks kind of crazy right now. I try to tame it but I’m struggling with the right amount of hair product to keep the new growth down and not overdoing it. I think I probably lost a lot in the beginning or middle of quarantine when things were really stressful and I was sick.

I just did my hair straight with the Airwrap smoothing brush and then curled just the ends with the wand attachments. It looks really good, but I will say you can get a similar look with the Revlon. For that one style, the Revlon is a dupe. Faster too. But the Revlon would likely damage your hair more if you used it regularly on high heat. And my thing with it was, as a highlighted blonde, I never used it on high because I was worried it would be too much. On low it gave me a decent look, but it got kind of limp.

I love, love, love the Airwrap. The versatility, the finished looks, the non-aggressive amount of heat, I can use it for second-day restyling, the style is long-lasting, etc etc. But if someone is happy with the Revlon results, they should stick with it. It’s a fantastic product and now selling for $30!!!

Anonymousse have you seen that plant-based hair finishing stick on Amazon that takes flyaways? People rave about it.

I definitely do recommend getting the John Frieda if you’re on the fence. For me, compared to Revlon, it’s more smoothing with more volume, less heat on high, longer-lasting style, and ability to curl the ends. Well worth $40. It might be branded as Conair Infiniti now.

No, what brand for the finishing stick? You might have just finally sold me on this JF brush.

Buzzfeed recommends BestLand brand, but looks like Amazon has a different suggested one with higher reviews. Just search on Amazon for hair finishing stick.

Get the JF! Especially if you have frizz and not very thick hair.

@hfantods If you want to learn how to curl your hair, highly recommend YouTube! I learned how to do hair and make-up watching YouTube tutorials in my early- and mid-20s. I don’t bother to curl my hair often anymore these days, but I’m glad I know how for the rare occasion I feel like wearing those styles.

Dealing with my first “disappointment” in wedding planning! The restaurant venue we were hoping for is not taking any 2021 bookings until they deal with their around 20 cancellations from 2020! Honestly, I am ok with it and it was the first place we reached out to but still, I hope not all places are like this.

I think we have decided on immediate family and wedding party for September 2021 (20 people). Church ceremony and reception at a restaurant. No big party in 2022 because by then I think we will have moved on, but maybe we will have some backyard barbecues. I feel maybe it is “too” small for September 2021 since hopefully people will have vaccines by then. But if we bump it up to 50 then it’ll end up being 100 because my dad’s side is like 50 people with cousins and their kids, and I would want to invite all of them.

Also, my fiance and I are still hoping for dining outdoors. I can’t imagine dining indoors with 20 people yet even though maybe it’ll be safe when we have vaccines?

Definitely don’t want this to be my wedding stuff thread but that is a mini-update in case you were curious!
