Well you’d use retinol at night. Besides sunscreen, I think it’s THE key anti-aging thing. You could get your next night cream with retinol in it, or check if your current night cream has it.

Vitamin C for day, retinol for night.

I’ve been using CeraVe and think it’s fine. It’s a drugstore product, so it’s budget-friendly, but I’ll be trying something else when I finish the tube I’m on. Leaning toward trying The Ordinary or Olay next. I’m basically just working my way through Dr. Shereene’s picks for vitamin C (https://www.pillowtalkderm.com/shop-my-shelf/ … her video on it is interesting, too, she talks about active vs. inactive vitamin c and the benefits of each, concentrations to look for, etc.) to see if there’s one I really like.

During much of the pandemic I’ve done my own nails with mostly Olive & June polish and their manicure tools. They are great products but the polishes can be hit and miss in terms of formulation, like some of the pastels are streaky and some of the bolds are too thick. I got their “Honest & True” light blue color at Target recently, and this one is a hit. I wore it for a week with no chips at all and only redid it because I wanted to cut my nails shorter. It goes on really well and I think is a universally flattering color and perfect for Spring.

They have a pedicure kit I got for Christmas last year that’s great too, though I still prefer not to bend over for that long. I am back to going to the salon for pedis. But for everyday manis, I don’t really want to spend $20 a week and lately it’s been chipping quickly.

Anyone use cream blushes and/or bronzers that they like?

I hear great things about glossier cloud paint, but I like my Benefit Hula Lite powder bronzer and Dandelion blush.

I have a ilia one that I really like and I’ve had a few milk ones and liked them well enough.

Thanks! I’ve used the Hoola bronzer for years but have wondered if my dry-as-a-cornhusk skin would be better with cream products, so just looking to try something new to see how it goes. I used to use the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush ages ago but it was discontinued and I eventually settled into a Milani blush that I’m just kinda meh about.

Any cream blush with a bit of sheen in it would look really good, I find matte anything doesn’t look great on me as I’ve aged but a pearlescent cream blush does wonders.

I’m also obsessed with the Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier cream eye shadows sticks.

Come to think of it, I don’t really have any powdered makeup anymore.

I want to get the Ilia skin tint stuff to replace my current BB cream. I need to send a pic and match for color.

I have the ilia lip and cheek stick in a brick red and it looks so good. I put a tiny smidge on my eyes, too. I don’t wear too much makeup but that and a little brow and mascara and I’m pretty good.

This is probably gross but a lot of my makeup is 2+ years old at this point since I haven’t bothered with it as much while working full-time remote. One thing on my to-do list this weekend is to go through all of it and toss anything that’s old/gross or that I simply don’t reach for. Like for someone who barely wears lipstick, I have a little container full of lip colors. Don’t even know where most of ’em came from.
