BethanyAugust 4, 2020 at 12:06 pm #926648Oh yeah and meanwhile in Indiana a student who was waiting on COVID test results attended the first day of school at a middle school. Halfway through the day, the administration at the middle school was notified that the student was positive for COVID and had to enact their containment procedures. So yeah, parents will and do send their kids to school when they are sick (or waiting on test results).

HelenAugust 4, 2020 at 4:43 pm #927222Fyodor that’s my district! I’ve been seeing disgusting pics of my county’s schools all over social media and even TMZ. We’re the guinea pigs so its understandable people are interested in what happens to us. Hopefully people will learn from our failures. One elementary school sent out a notice on the SECOND DAY that a kid tested positive and they were implementing their exposure plan. I’ve never felt better about my decision to keep my son out of that mess. Obviously its a privilege I’m not dependent on the school to work. I don’t envy the parents who don’t have a choice.
FyodorAugust 4, 2020 at 5:13 pm #927277Another one from Georgia today.

HelenAugust 4, 2020 at 5:33 pm #927313That pic of the Etowah high school seniors smushed together is horrible! So was the response from the county to the parents. I got an email basically shrugging at the concerns.
It is very weird for my tiny hometown to be in the spotlight! I shouldn’t be getting such a kick out of it! It’s awful and not doing anything for the southern stereotypes
AngeAugust 4, 2020 at 11:27 pm #928055Completely off topic but this story made me sad smile today. I saw Buka at the farm back in 1995 and he was a lovely boy, as much as a croc can be:
FyodorAugust 5, 2020 at 4:40 pm #930106A little more background on that school in GA, which I guess has already had outbreaks.
