Yeah, so when the bf had it, the doctor told him that he didn’t need to test again after the quarantine period was up, saying that the tests can’t tell whether the virus is alive or dead. So basically same thing, that he might still test positive even after being in the clear.
Yeah, the husband did wait until he tested negative on the rapid to do anything. I should have clarified about the PCR vs. Rapid.
ETA: I quarantined for the full 10 days after my PCR test in January and didn’t test again.

I want to recommend this fake-ass blazer that you can throw on if you’re basically naked and look amazingly professional on zoom. I got it in white and need more colors. I get lots of compliments and look more pulled together than anyone. It’s not lined, is stretchy, and is actually quite comfortable!
Miss MJJuly 22, 2022 at 1:03 pm #1112560Our Covid positive lines also faded it we progressed. No idea whether it means anything though. We were told that you can test positive on a PCR for months and not be contagious, but if you’re positive on a rapid test, you’re probably shedding the virus still.
LisforLeslieJuly 25, 2022 at 6:35 am #1112627I was a real risk taker over the weekend. I went to the movies.
Ten am movie on a Saturday morning. I think we were the only two in the theater. There may have been a couple more people but I couldn’t see anyone.
Masked the entire time.We saw Elvis. It was brilliant.
July 27, 2022 at 2:49 pm #1112712@Kate – I added that blazer to my wish list. I don’t really have to dress up for work but it would still be fun and cute to have 🙂
I kind of want to see Nope in the theater…Maybe! We get popcorn so don’t wear a mask but we also usually go when the theater isn’t busy so I don’t worry too much.
LisforLeslieJuly 27, 2022 at 3:14 pm #1112715I’ll admit I did consider getting a big heaping popcorn on the way out. I miss movie theater popcorn.
Oh! And since it was the early early show tickets were a whopping $6. Do you know how long it’s been since I paid $6 for a movie ticket? I think it’s been over 20 years.
July 29, 2022 at 3:07 pm #1112727@KTfran – we recently splurged (a little) on surround sound for our living room. The only thing missing when watching a movie is movie theater popcorn – I can’t seem to duplicate it at home so I’m going to try that next time!
We also have a movie theater here I think it’s called Picture Show and the tickets, no matter the time of day, are something like $5-$6 per person. And they still have the nice seats!
This week was our first week of “Dynamic Working” lol, which is where you get assigned 1 week per month and during that week you’re required to go in at least 3 days. I did M-W and holy shit how exhausting now to go to the office 3 days in a row. It was super crowded, they didn’t have the Covid boosters I was hoping they’d have in the clinic, I got no work done, and my boss was in an absolute tizzy about something unrelated. Also, they assigned us to all different floors to sit, and even my 2 direct reports were on a different floor than me. One of them went in Friday, which, kind of smart, but he said they were, no shit, having a carnival. He got his caricature done, and a headshot. They were giving flu shots too, but again no bivalent Covid boosters, wtf. I will say, I had some valuable in-person meetings, and everyone enjoys Buffalo Chicken Wednesday, but overall it was an ordeal. Real shoes are just not a thing anymore for me. Each pair I wore ripped up my feet in a different way. One of my reports wore dress shoes one day and he got horrible blisters. The next day he couldn’t even wear sneakers without Bandaids.
