They are really dropping the ball and causing everyone to look elsewhere for info.

And I mean, I think “waning immunity” has had a lot to do with Delta, so I’d appreciate a booster that’s customized for that.

Yeah… I clarified that up above.

I’m not sold that immunity starts to wane after 6 months (though I’m not a scientist and neither are most people here)… Seems that was based on Israel, and there were big socioeconomic differences between those who got vaccinated earlier vs later. In other words, no control group. I’ll for sure get whatever shot is recommended, but I’m not convinced boosters are needed at this point unless you’re very vulnerable.

@BGM, the cdc doesn’t even track breakthrough infections, so they’re not necessarily lying there.

The NYT article says it’s one in 5K *per day,* which maybe makes more sense.

It is possible I know more ppl who had a breakthrough but didn’t talk about it.

    It’s in NYT for what that’s worth…

Who really knows, since the CDC isn’t tracking it!? I think that was based on state level data, maybe analyzed by KFF, and it did vary from state to state.

At a lower price point I love Maybelline Dream Fresh CC, for light coverage, and ELF Camo CC for buildable / fuller coverage. Both have SPF 30 and treat my skin well.

I think the only person I know, is a young person who’s clearly constantly socializing and doing team sports.

I’m sure they’re more common in less vaccinated states, but they’re still rare.

I really wish the CDC would do a better job with messaging. I get that new info changes things, etc., but so many people are now left with the idea that the vaccines don’t really work. The “experimental” bs I think comes from social media, but this whole thing about breakthrough Delta infections, boosters, etc. I feel like is more on the CDC. From stuff I’ve read, I don’t even think boosters are necessary at this point, and breakthrough infections are what, 1 in 5,000?

Lol, Bud Light Seltzer finally did it, they came out with a Fall variety pack that includes pumpkin spice. We just took the dog out for a drink to this dive patio, and the server was like, I’m a veterinarian, just graduated from Tufts, and I’ll bring you samples of all these flavors. They are disgusting but in a good way? I liked the toasted marshmallow.

@Rangerchic, maybe next year. The crowds are insane, and I’d worry it’d be Covid central. We do have a high vaccination rate in MA, but in July when everyone showed up to party in Provincetown, there was that outbreak. Hopefully once it’s under control you can have a fun trip there. It’s a lovely town.

Also, @Copa, the Airwrap – I found if I use the round brush first but just twist each section, not pull it out straight, and concentrate on getting the root and end dry, then use the smaller barrel like a wand (upside down, wrapping the section from the top), it’s a really nice look. The roots and ends are smooth, and the smaller barrel puts a pretty beach wave in, but it’s not too tight because you already got the hair pretty dry with the brush. It doesn’t work as well if you use the brush conventionally, because then you’ve straightened it out too much.
