Well, I rose from the dead and did 2 hours of work, a change of sheets, a blowout, and a manicure.
For anyone on the fence about the Dyson Airwrap: it does beach waves. You can get your roots semi-dry and smoothed out quickly with the paddle brush attachment (if your hair isn’t naturally straight, that is), then wrap your hair around the curling barrels from the top and hold onto the ends, and it gives you beautiful casual waves. People message me on Teams during Zoom meetings to tell me my hair looks fantastic. Someone else has the Airwrap too, and her hair always looks great.
It feels so good to get vaccinated!
That said, the fuck, I still have a temperature. I slept well and feel better today, but come on.

I’ve been in bed all day. It’s not THAT bad, but I can’t fathom getting up and doing anything. So tired.
Ugh, so I have a fever. We have this crap-ass digital thermometer that always tells us we’re 97, and last night it told me 94, but now it says 99.8. And my husband says I feel hot. I slept badly, couldn’t get comfortable, have aches, woke up feeling really cold at one point, then too warm. And my throat hurts a little. My ears kind of throb inside too.
I had my appointment for haircut and highlights today, but my husband reminded me earlier this week that they take temperatures and might have to kick me out. I called and rescheduled for Wednesday, which thank god.
I just got my second Moderna at lunch. My arm is super sore so far.
I was going to say that too, that I’m glad my dad was 25 when I was born, not 55. The other good thing too is that he’s only 23 years older than my brother, who can’t live independently. My parents are still caring for him now when he’s 48 and they’re 71.
But then I didn’t say it because I guess there are no guarantees a guy lives into old age. But like, you have kids when you’re old, it’s pretty certain you’re not going to be in their lives very long as an active human. Much of their experience with you will be your decline, which is sad.
Right, that’s what I’m saying. Why do you want a business that had no buyers and eventually sold at a huge loss? Because it’s a place and a job you’re comfortable with. This is a signal that it’s time to branch out.
I could buy that it was all business with the boss, but that was super shady on the part of the friend. Friends don’t do shit like that. That’s not a person you can trust going forward.
I do think there’s something better out there for you.
