    I like those, thanks!

    I would have gotten the black coat but my existing winter coat was black when the Amazon coat went on super sale. I like the olive green but it’s not my most flattering color.

    @Linda, because they say they don’t know for sure that you couldn’t still have a mild or asymptomatic case, even if vaccinated, and still shed virus out your nose. Another reason is that they don’t want people in general to feel like they can stop wearing masks now, before herd immunity is achieved. Finally, if youre vaccinated but not wearing a mask, people don’t know you’re vaccinated. It could make them nervous.

    And because all I’ve seen you do is troll on here (using different names), I will add: please do not bring anti-vaxx energy to this board or I’ll delete those comments.

    Thanks Fyodor. Blah, you still have to be 75. Let’s move it along, people.

    I’m so sorry that happened. Do they have any idea why it would flare up? Could it be… extreme stress?

    Fingers crossed they do!

    In MA you DO have to be 75 to get the vaccine right now, and my parents are 71 without any known underlying conditions. But they’re checking the websites regularly. I need my brother to get it too, as he visits them every weekend and also has health issues of his own.

    So the way the law is written, it turns out you do have to cover the damage to your own condo when this shit happens. And this is the THIRD time there’s been water damage from the upstairs unit. Plus 2 other water damage incidents that weren’t her fault – one was the pipes, and one was the guys dishwasher two floors up. Each time my parents have paid the deductible and their insurance has covered it. My dad just got the condo board President to agree to dedicating budget reserve money to cover people’s deductible from these incidents and thinks he’ll make it retroactive to cover this one. We’ll at least get a new ceiling, and paint if the walls need it. We’ll know more on Monday.

    I saw your water issues on Instagram, Wendy 🙁 Youre right that the pandemic really puts it over the edge.

    Sorry, I think I’m cursing everyone. Woman I work with started having water leak into her kitchen yesterday… guys renovating her bathroom upstairs did something wrong. And my other co-worker’s radiator is leaking and staining her downstairs neighbor’s ceiling.

    What will you do, hose off?

    @KTFran
    , yeah, it seems pretty clear to me the water was not turned off pre-installation. The installer guy came down here afterwards and asked to take pictures and tried to tell us the shutoff valve broke off. Which, okay, but that must have been after the water started pouring out. And it’s why there’s so much damage. While the super was being located and turning the main water off, the leak spread all through the ceiling across the whole room. Pieces of it are falling down today.

    So they have to keep the fans in the kitchen going all weekend, and I can’t even go in there because it’s like a hot, windy desert. Apparently the ceiling is completely fucked and will have to come down. Not sure about the rest of the room. The restoration guys and the insurance guy are coming back Monday morning.

    I really can’t with this. It’s thrown off the whole routine that keeps me going.

    I guess my parents can get it now if there’s a slot open at CVS (I think you have to check it at midnight for openings). They are 71. I was thinking it was 75+. I guess my husband was talking to my mom on the phone today because of the kitchen situation and filled them in on how the fuck to get the vaccine because they’re clueless. Everyone I know is having to strongarm and orchestrate their damn parents through this.

    My mom’s older sister got it, she’s 75. I just found that out today. And I was concerned that my parents and brother might not get it (religious reasons I don’t want to hear shit about so I won’t go into), but they are going to, if nothing else just to be good citizens. This makes me feel better.

    Thanks everyone for the tips!

    Now they’ve sealed the entrances to the kitchen with plastic so it will dry faster. They’re concerned about the ceiling but think the walls may be ok.
