It’s good. It really evens out my skin and looks completely natural, which is what I needed. I have a naturally red nose, unfortunately, and it helps curb that too.

Since there’s been some discussion on makeup… I finally bought and am using Ilia Skin Tint and I’m OBSESSED. I don’t like foundation, so prior, I was using Kiehl’s tinted BB cream. The Ilia skin tins is so much better. First, I went into Sephora and asked someone to help color match me. She seemed uninterested, so I took a sample and called it a day. I ended up taking a few pics in natural light, sending them to Ilia and they matched me. I’ve been using for a couple weeks now and I love it so wanted to give it a shout out.

I also bought a couple of the Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Sticks and I really like them too. I tried a Laura Mercier one (that I got for my Sephora b-day gift). I like the Bobbi Brown stick better.

I was in Hilton Head over the weekend. Flew home yesterday. My cousin, her husband, my husband and I were definitely in the minority of people who were masked in the airport and on the plane. I’d say only 15% were masked. If that. When we landed at ORD, I think I maybe saw two other people with masks.

We were upgraded to first class and our flight attendant had her mask on the entire time. The other flight attendant did not have a mask on.

@lucidity, I’m so sorry about your husband’s school. That sucks. It’s crazy to me how people can flip a switch and pretend the last two years didn’t happen. I’m sending you good thoughts that tour pregnancy continues to be ok.

, Omg. June is just around the corner. How exciting!! I think your friend should be fine by them. I remember when my mom had shingles. She had a horrible rash around her bra line. It looked like gross bubbles. I think she was better in about a month.

    @kate
, that’s horrible! People are the absolute worst. I wish they could be charged with reckless endangerment. I’m sending you good thoughts too. FWIW, the husband and I didn’t quarantine from one another when I had Covid in January. He never tested positive. Here’s hoping you don’t get it too.

I like to order a whole bunch on-line so I can try on in the comfort of my own home then I typically return to the store. I do that w/ Madewell all the dang time.

I just had a long post typed out thanking everyone for the well wishes and giving an update. The ads effed it up and everything was erased.

Anyway, I was MIA for awhile. I spiraled. But… Fam is healing. Nieces are doing ok. I’m better now.

Thank you everyone for the good thoughts. I needed it and I appreciate it.

BIL update. Just transferred hospitals tonight and needs surgery on both lungs to repair tiny holes. He wasn’t getting better.

And now my mom is in the hospital. She had to have her gallbladder removed. She want to the ER last night because of extreme pain.

If you have some good thoughts to spare, please send to my fam. I don’t ask for much, but this is a shitty week and I’ll take what I can get!!

I’m also obsessed with the Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier cream eye shadows sticks.

Come to think of it, I don’t really have any powdered makeup anymore.

I want to get the Ilia skin tint stuff to replace my current BB cream. I need to send a pic and match for color.

Have to be in the office this week for a major interview. NOBODY is wearing masks ANYWHERE. They weren’t on Sunday at the grocery store either, nor in the Lyft I took on Friday. It’s maddening.

Although at the same time, I don’t know why I’m annoyed because I do wear a mask and am relatively safe (maybe not as safe as Wendy/Fyodor/a couple others, but safer than most) and I still got Omicron.

Omg. That’s so fucked up Kate. Wow. Yeah. I couldn’t hang with her. Anyone who is ok with someone abandoning their children is not a good person.

I guess the lung was only partially collapsed. I still don’t know the full story, but it seems air surrounded the lung making him not be able to breath. He’s stable. His lung is filling back with air like it’s supposed to. I don’t know what procedure they performed.

The husband was looking into it. It seems like this kind of thing can happen if there’s an injury, like from sports, or Covid, which is causing it to happen to a small percentage of people. And apparently, if it’s Covid-related, it’s happening to people with underlying conditions or young men who are tall and thin. The later fits the BIL. He’s like 6’2” or 3”, thin and pretty active.

Anyway, the news tonight is good.

Thanks for letting me freak out on here.

I don’t have the full details yet. Waiting to hear. My immediate family was up here for two of my nieces bdays. He and my sis and one niece were headed back when he said he needed to to to the emergency room. My mom, dad and other niece had left sooner so they’re headed back this way to pick up the second niece and take her back home.

I didn’t want to ask my sis too many Qs yet. Hopefully I’ll know soon. I just texted her and told her I’d get her a hotel room by the hospital if she wanted, they’re a couple hours outside the city.

So I don’t know it’s after effects from Covid, but I’d think it’s too coincidental not to be.
