I assure you, where I’ve vacationed in the Ozarks looks nothing like the show. I wish they would recreate Osage Beach and the outlet mall / mini golf / bumper call gridlock strip of land that it is. Although, in season 3, Laura Linney’s character finally said Missoura!!! I was ecstatic.

My dad’s greatest joy is trout fishing, so I spent a lot of time camping in Bennet Springs (near Osage Beach) or staying at a cabin near Branson while growing up. I went back about 11 years ago with the fam. It hadn’t changed much.

Yep, MG summarized perfectly. Also, dog grooming can open. Weird. But I guess since they’re not human??

In Trump news… do you think “I’m sorry judge, I gave my husband bleach because the president said injecting it in the lungs would kill the virus” is a plausible defense? No?

EDT: I appreciate Pritzker during this pandemic despite not liking him / thinking he’s another IL crook. He’s doing right by us. I LOVE Lightfoot and I love all the cutouts of her in windows.

In other news, I was finally able to get a home delivery order on some heavy grocery items we’re out of or almost out of. Since the husband and I don’t have a car and have to walk 1.3 miles to and from our closest grocery store, I’ll take the small win!

Oh my god, those signs are the absolute worst. Every single one of them. I looked through a slideshow of them yesterday and regretted it immediately after.

I don’t think anyone who comments on this site is advocating to reopen for a haircut or nails. Yes, I’ll occasionally complain. Last night, I told the husband that maybe he should shave my head. But I’m following the orders. Will continue to do so. And will not put people at risk for my vanity. I did send my stylist money because she’s not working right now.

Ugh. Our mayor just said that our shelter in place is likely to extend through June.

EDT: I mean good! Compared to other states who are being ridiculous. But I guess I was hoping for some slow reprieve by June 1st.

There are several southern states opening up and/or relaxing the rules. South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.

People suck. Thank god I don’t look at that stuff/or haven’t seen it. I’d probably be shamed because I’m out without a mask. Yeah, I’d say it’s about 50/50 here, agreeing with you @Copa.

Also, John Krasinski’s SGN makes me cry. In a good way. I’m a sap at heart. I won’t admit it in the flesh though.

Any decent day we get, I take about a 40 to 50 minute walk. I walk super fast / don’t wear a mask. Move over as far as I can or cross the street when people are nearby.

Who is shaming people for walking? If I couldn’t do that, my mental and physical health would quickly deteriorate. Walking outside is not the same as working out indoors, for me anyway. We have an open roof (just ours), but no yard.

Oddly, in my building, the husband and I are the only people who stayed. The pilates studio on the ground floor is obviously closed. The gentleman below us and the couple above us are gone. They must have decided to shelter in place with their immediate families in the burbs. I can’t really blame them. I probably would have done the same if I didn’t have the husband.

Our weather makes me so sad today. If it weren’t for Covid19, I’d be in Savannah right now. Probably already having had two too many drinks. This weekend is my annual Heritage Golf Tournament Hilton Head weekend with my cousins and our spouses. It was also going to be my cousin’s first trip after having her son at 25 weeks two January’s ago (her husband was going to graciously stay home with baby since it’s her birthday).

Right? This weather!!! 50s and sun would be lovely.
