Yeah, there’s nothing you can do that won’t make the situation worse. Bossing him around will only hurt your relationship, like Essie and others have said. You can’t give him your sense of unease, it’ll probably have to come from experience.
Example: I always put away my GPS mount in the car to avoid opportunistic thieves and Bassanio always thought I was being too cautious, until he left the mount up and someone broke into his car and stole the GPS and some other stuff he kept in there. Riding around for a week with a broken window convinced him to put the mount away, not any nagging I might have done.
Also, the makeup of the area of town or late at night might not really mean much in the end: I remember a friend saying she lived on the rough side of town and for mugged in a safe area of town in the middle of the day, right across from city hall.
I don’t know the specifics, but he was really old and was in a coma for a few weeks and had major health issues, plus he was cremated not long after. And my dad said something about places like that not taking the super elderly, but I forget why. Which is why is probably a good idea to know the policies of the place you want your body to go.
@stonegypsy I love Jonathan Coulton! A little late, but I just saw what the link was. He’s most of the reason I listen to Ask Me Another (he’s the “house band”). That zombie song is one of my favorite, Brains? But the first one I ever heard of his was First of May. That’s stuck in my head pretty much the whole month of May every year.
Me and my sister are 4 years apart. We didn’t really get along until I was 16 (not fighting all the time, just not friends). Neither of us really acted out and we were different enough that we didn’t compete much. She moved to my city after college and we have a pretty good relationship these days, and she’s going to be my MOH. From seeing my friends with their siblings, though, I really think 3 years is the sweet spot.
Ooo I should follow him! I’m not on Twitter much, though. My favorite episode of supernatural is the French Incident, where they go over into the real world. And Misha actually tweeted.
27000 page views is bonkers! Whaaaaaa, I wouldn’t be surprised if we broke the internet.
Orange rolls! So good! I made these the other day and would highly recommend the recipe: http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2013/11/cranberry-orange-breakfast-buns/
