So good to catch up on reading the updates. My husband and I got back about a week ago from a week’s trip to Ireland. It was such beautiful country and had lots of fun. I drove on the other side of the road…that was a crazy experience!

@Copa – I think that’s one of the most bizarre dating things I’ve heard in awhile. I hope she breaks up with him!

I agree with everyone else…don’t change your date or your plans. good grief, I don’t understand people like this either. Good luck!

Oh man, sorry all that happened to you hizzy. Hope the last tid bit of planning goes well for you and the wedding goes off without a hitch 🙂

My daughter gets married next week and we are hosting the reception next Saturday! I’m excited that most of my family is coming in and I’m excited for the next chapter of her life. There were many, many issues with her life but the past year she has really blossomed and turned her life around.

That was so nice that he called @Copa! He’s a good guy as he obviously knows how much your pup means to you and made the time to call even if for a moment.

That happened to our small dog about 1.5 years ago. She was throwing up all night, then started throwing up blood but she didn’t have it coming out the other end. The stupid emergency vet clinic (weekend, late at night) didn’t even give her fluids! Poor thing was so dehydrated after all that. Didn’t ever figure out what it was (x-rays were all normal) so i suppose it could have been a bug. I did end up taking her to the reg vet on the following Monday cause she hand’t improved much and they gave her fluids which really helped.

We bought our first house together when we were engaged. We got married the same year so it worked out. Since moving from our home state to the one we are in now…we built a house and though I love my house I’m kind of wishing we would have just kept renting. However, rents here are nearly as expensive as mortgages (unless you want to live on the “bad” side of town and even then, they aren’t cheap). So, investment wise – at this point- it was a good decision…as long as the market holds.

Maybe I could convince my husband to take a short trip to Chicago for furniture shopping! hahahahaha – actually we really like Chicago and would love to visit again.

I love that couch @Ktfran! Blue velvet would be so much fun! Not sure if my husband would let me go for something like that though.

Did you order online with out trying first? Just curious. I can find a lot online I like but, even with reviews, it’s hard to know if I would like the seat/feel/comfort levels. And it’s such a huge purchase (physically) it’s not easily returnable. So I can’t see myself ordering online without being able to try it out first.

I was super tired yesterday too though I don’t think I’m coming down with anything. Today is better.

Went back to looking at some new living room furniture. It’s all so expensive anymore! And after finding a couch we loved I did some research on the manufacturer – who is supposed to have a good reputation. But the couch was so expensive I wanted reviews first…and found that their stuff usually only lasts 2-3 years before wearing out. The couch was going to cost over $6000 (after taxes and such) (it was a leather sectional with auto recliners). NOT spending that much for it to wear out in such a short amount of time. Back to the drawing board. And maybe to regular couches with no recliners.

    Good luck @JD!

I am to old for that kind of partying but I’ll be honest it was never really my thing anyway. It seems drinking just about anything anymore gives me headaches (besides a beer or a mixed drink).

    Have a good weekend all!
