I couldnt care less. Besides, I thought we were here to answer her question not troll.
Bacon MistressAugust 15, 2018 at 11:33 am #787923Can we vote for BGM and Ruby Tuesday to be moderators? I prefer them.
Not everybody is a fan of My Best Friend’s Girl Cheeses crust scene. But if you dislike Kate as moderator, you probably haven’t noticed all the fake posts and trolls she’s deleted and blocked. She chooses to volunteer her time to keep the forums readable.
I think most readers are glad Kate can offset some of Wendy’s workload keeping garbage off the site. Nobody voted her in. It’s something she chooses to do to help.
That’s right, mwah-ha-ha, this was not a democratic process. Not even the internet police can remove me.
If you need an outlet for screaming at people and taking the lord’s name in vain but yet not, there are countless places on the Internet where you can do either or both, and still come back here and give advice.
JDAugust 15, 2018 at 1:33 pm #787932I almost forgot about the internet police. I somewhat wish we could have another one of those insane posts, just to keep me laughing.
saneincaAugust 15, 2018 at 3:11 pm #787950@ktfran, the LW wanted advice. I am trying to provide it to her even if it is beyond what she asked for.
In a world where wise decide to limit their procreation and foolish people are allowed to procreate without limit, the future is going to be full of foolish progeny of foolish people.
saneinca that’s an uncomfortable parallel. Wise = Privileged (education is a privilege) and Foolish = Poverty and abused background?
A lot of the people commenting need to check their privilege. Reproductive options/knowledge aren’t always available, depending on where the LW is located Planned Parenthood may be hours away. It sounds like she is trying to make the best choices possible going forward with the life she was dealt.
If your mother can be trusted to leave her ex, then the LW should look for section 8 housing and a more secure job while her mother babysits. Something with benefits and a possible trajectory would serve her better than her current stripping. Try for all the benefits you can to help your children and yourself. As for the $, pay your mother the amount she asked for $1,500 and keep the rest. I also agree, don’t start a side job until you have something stable with benefits first.
Northern StarAugust 15, 2018 at 3:32 pm #787952Idiocracy, in fact…
I don’t know why anyone would get bent out of shape over some suggesting that a single mother of soon-to-be four with no safe home or support system look into permanent birth control.
Why would anyone want this woman to have more children? The ones she has are already on the same road as their mother, since they have no reliable parents (or grandparents) to provide a safe home for them.
KateAugust 15, 2018 at 3:44 pm #787954*No one is getting bent out of shape about suggesting someone look into long-term bc* as part of a response that offers advice and tries to answer their question.
What’s not cool is yelling at someone to GET STERILIZED!!!!
ronAugust 15, 2018 at 3:49 pm #787955This has been a strange thread, which I’m sure OP left long ago. The reaction to BGM’s comment seems intense, given that it is not dissimilar to many of his comments, which have passed unremarked, let alone being railed against. His comment was a tad more biting than normal, but the situation of OP was more than a tad more desperate than most encountered. Stripping can provide a high income for an attractive young woman, but it is not a good long-term plan. Looks fade and too much contact with scummy men for a mother of 4. The expected payment for tax preparation is absurd. Perhaps $300 is appropriate.

I think it’s merited when you’ve got this woman with no safe home for her trio of fatherless kids—and her big concern is whether a big chunk of her tax refund (earned by popping out those kids) should go to her mom’s girlfriend or not.
I think it’s morally fine to want to save future innocent kids from ending up like… the LW.
