I’m buying some winter things for my Iceland trip, some random things from Ali Express, and maybe some stuff to make nail polish with.
I’m ordering my custom lip gloss from Shiro Cosmetics. They’re a small company based in Oregon. I have an old coral colored lipstick that was discontinued, so I’m sending the owner a sample to use as a guideline for the color. I asked her if she could use this image as the label and name the shade “You Used to Coral Me on My Shell Phone”.
March 4, 2016 at 12:33 pm #443624@Kare I am so jealous of your Iceland trip. A good friend of mine went there around this time last year and had an absolutely amazing time.
I am going to a birthday party tonight, and then tomorrow having brunch with both boyfriends, which I’m kind of anxious about. But J was saying that he wanted to get to know Physicist better. Tomorrow night I might possibly go to Nerd Prom. I’m a little nervous about that too, though. The dress code said that you could dress for prom or con, but I still feel like it would be weird to go in a gown and not nerd wear. But I really don’t have any nerd costumes, cause cons aren’t really my thing, and also I really want to wear a gown because I never have a good excuse to go full formal.
Thoughts?March 4, 2016 at 5:50 pm #443649Oh man, I love *all* of those ideas (especially especially the Buffy one. Oh man, that would be great).
I have a black gown, and a red gown, though. Those are pretty much where my options stop. Buying a new dress is not an option. I could put some thought into it and probably figure *something* out, though. Or I could literally just go dressed for prom and not be self-conscious about it. Because part of being a grown up nerd is that I can have fun and not have to care what other people think about me (at least not in that sense).
