My only concern, KMEN, is why, after he canceled, you didn’t bring that cheese plate to my house?!?!
April 28, 2016 at 12:35 pm #494024“I’m so sorry for my [completely batshit] actions, you didn’t deserve that [totally crazypants tirade I went on at you], I treated you like shit [and probably will again if you let me because I am absolutely crazy], crazy crazy crazy”
Fixed it!
April 28, 2016 at 4:40 pm #494248@MissDre damn that is such a pain! Gah I have such a pet peeve for flakiness and ghosting. Well at least you figured it out sooner rather than later! What happens if he contacts you though? Gonna turn him down or take a chance on a third date?
I have a trail run race (11.5km!) this Saturday, then a hair appointment to get my locks cut for the new job in May, then my friend is doing a birthday/going away party that evening out of town. THEN Sunday doing a hike with my mom somewhere as per her request before I leave Ontario for work! Busy weekend ya’ll!
kareApril 28, 2016 at 5:30 pm #494306@Cleo I’m tired just reading your weekend plans. I plan to be very lazy haha. I’m volunteering o Saturday per usual, then doing dinner with my friends. It will be my friend’s first night out since having her baby on Easter. I mean we will probably eat at like 7 or 8 then call it a night, but I think it will be fun.
MissDreApril 28, 2016 at 6:30 pm #494369@Cleopatra_30 you know what, I would probably give him a third date. It’s not like he stood me up or was a jerk, he just didn’t ask me out again. Maybe he’s been busy, maybe he’s dating around and meeting other girls and seeing what’s out there. Which is fair enough. We met on Tinder, so it’s not like he owes me anything after 2 dates. So, if he DID ask me out again, I’d probably say yes and just go hang out and have a good time without any expectation of it going anywhere.
In other news, I have a big photo shoot happening in Montreal this weekend which I’m excited about 🙂 I have the guy on Facebook, so he’ll get to see all my new shots and be like “damn, I’m missing out!” (but even if he doesn’t, who the hell cares)
Let’s see, I’m working tonight. Tomorrow I’ve got crossfit, finally finish painting my family room (I’m almost done with the trim!) seeing my BFF’s new house and then a “date” with happy hour guy tomorrow night. Sunday is church and then heading to my parent’s house to help with their laundry and we are going to cook up a bunch of meals for them to put in the freezer.
I’ve found that if I come and visit them once a week or call them once a week, our relationship is getting better. Mom is learning boundaries so we have progress! She was really excited to hear I was coming up on Sunday and started talking about all the cooking she wanted to do with me and Dad was excited that I can come help get the lawn furniture out for them so he can go and enjoy the porch now. It made me happy to hear them so happy 🙂
Cleopatra_30 You have such a jam packed weekend!Trail run race sounds fun but exhausting…so badass!
MissDre: Good luck with the photo shoot!
So dude wanted to make up for having to cancel at the last minute (I still have that cheese plate AP!! You and baby should come visit!). I was still feeling pretty frosty, but then he bought us tickets for the opera tonight. Which me being me….was a smooooooooth move. Like the smoothest. I’m s huge theater nerd (we keep talking about going to NYC to see Hamilton) and I had mentioned awhile back that I loved the opera and hadn’t been in a long time. Anyway excited about it but still planning to talk to him about things.
KApril 29, 2016 at 11:52 am #495278Which opera are you going to see, @kmtthat? I just saw one in NYC two nights ago. A friend from college got me into the opera a few years ago, and now we go about twice a year. The one I saw two nights ago was by Mozart but it’s not a well-known one, and it wasn’t as good as most of the ones I’ve seen. I prefer the comedic ones 🙂
My birthday is tomorrow, so my mom is coming up for lunch and we’re going to my favorite burger place, then to the local cat shelter to pet some kitties! They’re free range so they aren’t in cages, it’s great. Then meeting up with some friends at a winery.
@K: OMG your birthday plans are exactly what I would want to do for my birthday. Gahhh. Burgers, kitties, and wine! Have a blast 🙂
We’re actually seeing the King and I as produced by the opera, so it’ll be a good transitional one for him (he’s never seen a musical let alone an opera…watching 3 hours of Italian is challenging for even the initiated haha). The opera house here is stunning and I’m looking forward to opera extravagant staging. And getting to dress up 🙂
