@K free range kittens?!?! My friend would flip over that! We actually have a bunch of cat cafes in Ontario opening up. They bring in cats from the humane society for people to pet and play with while drinking coffee! They have nice cat towers for the cats to lounge in. Never been but sounds close enough to free range kittens haha
@kmtthat The opera sounds cool! Although I would also agree a ton of Italian would throw me off. Luckily if he knows the story it is easy enough to follow along. Have fun!
My race turned out okay, it was exhausting! Tons of hills and some narrow single track trails. I woke up with a scratch in my throat and running with an oncoming cold did not bode well. Went home after the race and realized I now have a full blown cold, runny nose, icky sick feeling. All the fun stuff! But I will still go to the party tonight, I want to see my friend. And the hike got cancelled for tomorrow on account of rain, so we are doing lunch instead at this great sandwich place.
kareMay 2, 2016 at 11:13 am #496571Errrr…so in my single lady adventures:
Started off Saturday with dick pics from my coworker. Which I didn’t really mind, but damn 10 am on a Saturday seems like a ballsy way to sext. At least wait until night time so you can pretend to be drunk. My FWB took me to the renaissance faire Saturday afternoon. I told him months ago I wanted to go, and that every year the guy I’m dating will promise to take me then flake. But Saturday he surprised me. Yayyyy! It was so much fun! Then I did dinner with my friends.
Saturday night I ended up hooking up with the albanian guy I have hooked up with on and off for 3 years. We stayed at his parents’ house in the suburbs. It was odd to say the least. (Well considering most of our hookups involve alcohol, sex in public, and him doing lines off of me…)
KMay 2, 2016 at 11:48 am #496579Thanks @veritek33! @Cleopatra, yes, it’s great, they are just all over the place in a huge room that has cat beds everywhere, and lots of different levels so they can jump and be up high. There’s even a full size bed for them to sleep on. There are no cat cafes near me but I would love to go to one!
Sounds like everyone had good weekends! Mine was exhausting lol. Saturday was crossfit, errands, lunch with friends, more errands, driving for uber (made some good money!) and then a “date” with happy hour guy. Not even really sure if it was a date. We had no plans set in stone other than haning out but then ended up going with a couple he is friends with to a winery and had a really fun time. He’s fun to hang out with and they were too, so hey, new friends at the least.
And yesterday was more errands and helping around my folks house. I collapsed at home in bed by 8:30. Let’s hope the week is less tiring lol.
May 2, 2016 at 12:09 pm #496584Veritek, I think I’m jealous of your version of a busy! After hosting and cleaning up after 20 of my in-laws in my dead father-in-law’s apartment an hour away, cleaning up one kid’s car-sickness-induced vomit and another kid’s enormous diaper blow-out, rushing to take a friend out for a birthday dinner whose husband of 27 years has just left her, and then rushing from there to another friend’s birthday party and then collapsing in bed at midnight after being awake and mostly on my feet for 19 hours straight (and in high heels for about 15 of those hours), your weekend sounds downright leisurely.
May 2, 2016 at 12:44 pm #496601I’m exhausted just reading that, Wendy. I hope the week is less stressful.
I spent the weekend moving in with RadioStar. A trip to IKEA, speeding ticket, Two+days of unpacking= NO FIGHTS and lots of sex. And a bunch of crap thrown away! and lou malnatis and Heitz Cellars. yum. And now AP and BABYP can visit!
@Wendy your weekend does sound quite exhausting 🙂 For me, a single childless person it was busier and more tiring than normal, I’ll say. I think being in the sun doing yardwork for my parents is what did me in by yesterday evening. But it was a fun kind of busy and I hope you enjoyed your fun busy too!
LianneMay 2, 2016 at 1:49 pm #496618I miss my single girl “busy weekends” so much. They were usually booze-filled and left me drained but they were fun. What Wendy described is my future and scares the shot out of me. I think perspective is so important when talking about being “tired” from a weekend.
I apologize if my description of my weekend as tiring was offensive or annoying to anyone, it was just my experience. I think we all know I’d love to be married with kids and having those kinds of weekends, so no offense intended. Just sharing my experience and my current perspective.
@MissDre glad you had a fun photo shoot 🙂 -
