@Rangerchic – I think I underestimated how sad I’d be to give a dog up. I’ve fostered cats before and it’s never been overly-emotional. I’ve only had him for a month and a half, and I’m so much more attached than I thought I’d be. He’s my little buddy with the I-love-you-do-you-love-me-too eyes. On Friday, the shelter I volunteer for set up a meet and greet for my foster pupper and his soon-to-be-mom. I knew he’d be coming back to me within a few hours, and I STILL cried when he left with the transport volunteer. If my job were a little less ridiculous, I would’ve considered keeping him. I want to cry just thinking about Wednesday.
@kmtthat my dream is going to greece someday! Sounds amazing
Thank you everyone for the congrats 🙂 I’m going to accept the job this afternoon! It will be a good move for me. New guy mentioned he’s still looking for jobs, but looking in my state, so that makes it feel okay to go on some more dates with him.
Trampoline park update – i didn’t break an ankle but damn, it wears you out fast and both of us noticed that yesterday and today our hips and knees hurt. The teenagers were running laps around us lol.
I could never foster dogs because I would want to keep them all and my house is at capacity.
My valentine’s plans are that my parents are coming to make me a nice dinner! As a thank you for basically taking care of them the last few months of last year. I’ll take steak dinner with them over a valentine’s date any day!
AngeFebruary 13, 2017 at 10:51 pm #673168Congrats on the job Veritek!
Valentines day isn’t as big here as America but it’s kind of gaining traction. My husband isn’t even here so I’m going to a Galentines meetup to watch Hidden Figures and then to a pub for a bit. It’s kind of like a new friend first date, I’m super nervous for some reason.
February 14, 2017 at 11:58 am #673232@veritek33 That is so awesome! Congrats on the job 🙂
I ended up cancelling my plans for today. Would have been the 3rd date with a guy, but I had more time to think this weekend and finally decided I wasn’t into him as much as I should be. I was kind of dreading the date cause we were gonna go to his place for dinner and a movie, and there would have been a good opportunity to lay some moves on me and I just couldn’t see myself being enthusiastic about that. So made the decision to end it now. He was a nice guy just insecure and kind of built up our dates too much, which was a turn off.
So for tonight I am doing a weight lift, ordering pizza, watching the new walking dead episode and eating peppermint patties. Good times if you ask me!
I have two dates this week though. A sushi date in the city Thursday and a Chapters date on Saturday! Both seem like cool dudes, so I hope they work out.
I bought us tickets to an adults only night at the aquarium tonight, somewhere we’ve wanted to go for all the years we’ve been together.
Obviously we need to eat first so when he asked me where I’d like to go, I said a burrito! Because come on, the burrito joint can’t be overrun with romantic couples can it?
@copa Awwww I have fostered kittens and it was SO HARD to let them go when it was time, sending you lots of hugs (and to the foster puppy to, hi puppy!)
If someone doesn’t like me at my burrito, they don’t deserve me at my homemade creme brulee. Also: TACOS. ALWAYS TACOS (SoCal lady for life).
It’s a little crazy for me to think that on Valentine’s Day last year, my ex was moving out of our apartment because the week before I had found out he was cheating on me and kicked him out. It was the most miserable way to spend Valentine’s Day. This year I’ll be with someone I’m crazy about, who just stopped by with flowers (he made sure to avoid anything poisonous to cats!) and a card during his lunch break. And I’m just all 🙂 🙂 🙂
