Stop in! It’s very inexpensive! I like their carnitas tacos the best.
Now the weather is starting to look like spring, I’ve decided I need to start running to different taquerias. I used to run to different donut stores for my weekend long runs, but I’ve now tried just all of them. I’ve decided tacos are up next. 😛
Tacos, romance! Loved hearing about your date, @copa! It’s great you’re staying connected despite his travels.
Also, really excited for you Miss Dre! Have fun!!
There are six of us younger people at work. Two are married, two are engaged, getting married in August and October, and then there’s me and another guy, single AF. I am one of the newer employees and the first four of them are really close, no boundaries people, and often ask about my dating life. Anyway we just found out today about the October wedding — he proposed two weeks ago! So one of of my co-workers then said to me and the other single guy, “Now it’s time for you two to get married. … Not to each other. But if it were to each other, that would be totally ok!” in a joking manner. Which is pretty normal conversation, except I may have had a sex dream/romantic-y dream about the co-worker last night? I don’t really have feelings for him (also, don’t sh*t where you eat), but he’s the only single guy I see regularly, work and all. So we all laughed it off, but ha, awk.
Moral of the story? Get out more! Actually meet new people!
lucia_laApril 13, 2017 at 8:58 am #681675You guys are making me want tacos! Good Mexican is hard to find here in Central Europe. Hope you have a great time on my side of the pond, MissDre!
Anyone have fun Easter plans? Banjo were going to spend a couple days in a national park hiking, but the forecast predicts rain every day and we hadn’t actually booked it yet, so it’s looking doubtful now. I’m bummed because usually all my friends have Easter Monday off while I work, but this year I’m off too! But if it rains all weekend that’s just meh.
KApril 13, 2017 at 9:08 am #681677I hope the weather clears up for you, @lucia_la! I’m hosting Easter – my first time hosting a holiday for my family! I have a small apartment and my relatives are bringing folding chairs because between myself and my boyfriend we only have 9 decent chairs, but we need 15 chairs. We have some camping chairs, but those are kind of low to eat at so we’ll use those as general sitting chairs for before and after dinner. I’m excited, and it will be great for once to not have to drive to where they live, which is 1.5+ hours away and there’s always tons of traffic.
Date 4 will be on Saturday! 😀 Nothing concrete planned as of yet but it’s supposed to be a nice day here so something outdoors might be fun.
Kind of a weird/silly question, but does anyone here have any experience telling someone they just started dating that they want to lay off the food/drinks? During the year I spent at my dysfunctional job — the one I just left a couple weeks ago — I gained enough weight that my clothes fit funny now. And it’s fine, there are worse things to be than chubby (and truthfully don’t even know if I’d qualify as chubby vs. someone who was quite fit a year ago and now is not) and I know I can get myself back on track now that I’m at a job that doesn’t give me anxiety or require me to be connected every evening and during weekends too. But with dating, it’s always so easy to make dates out of drinks and eating out — both of which I love to do, and my city has SO MANY great restaurants. I’d just like to be doing less of it while I get myself back in shape, without being annoying about it. (Like, I don’t want to be that person complaining she’s soooo fat when I know I’m not. I hate that, I think it’s obnoxious.) Aside from suggesting more active date ideas, which is what I’m hoping to do for Saturday, I feel kind awkward about it.
April 13, 2017 at 4:33 pm #681780Just drink water and order a small plate….right? I mean, you have to eat.
I’ve been upfront about it in the past and I don’t think someone would think it’s weird or strange to mention that.
