That is exciting @missdre, I also have been following along and can’t wait for the updates. As a fellow Canadian who has worked with entrepreneurs, just make sure you speak with a lawyer regarding running your business from another country when it is incorporated in Canada. As an entrepreneur you have a lot more freedom, but there are still important things to consider such as health insurance, taxes, where it is incorporated, where most of your clients are etc (I have seen people get burned in the past).
I like that article, @MissDre! A friend sent me a different narrated version of it a few years ago when I was pretty fresh out of a break-up, and I loved the way that particular guy narrated the whole thing. His inflections were on point! I’ve sent it to a few people since, but haven’t been able to find that one recorded version that I love since.
Hi guys! A little drunk! I had a really nice time on my date tonight! He’s not really my normal type (not a consultant or an engineer, whaaa, and kinda blue collar), but I was pleasantly surprised. He was nice and easy to talk to, and has a good sense of humor and pretty blue eyes. We went to a wine bar. On the way back toward my place, we passed by a dumpling place that just opened up that I think I would’ve gone ages without trying. But we popped in on a whim and split an order, and it was actually really good. He wore glasses and I thought they were so cute. 🙂 I hope we go out again. Even if we don’t, though, it’s kinda nice to go out with someone and not feel unsure about whether or not I’d want a second date. That last guy was nice, but the idea of a second date gave me anxiety, and I kept second-guessing the feeling. Hope everyone else is having a great night, hopefully also with wine and dumplings.
lucia_laDecember 1, 2017 at 8:54 am #728242Happy December, guys! It’s officially the most wonderful time of the year!
Tonight my improv group is having our yearly Christmas-themed show, and then Banjo and I are waking up at the ass crack of dawn to head over to a small town in Poland for the Christmas markets! We’re gonna spend the rest of the weekend drinking mulled wine and eating pierogies with a big group of our friends.
After that, it’s only two weeks till we fly home for ten days with his family and then ten days with mine!
TheHizzyDecember 1, 2017 at 10:49 am #728260This month marks the whole start of Christmas. And my first real Christmas at my new job (I started in November of last year) where I KNOW I won’t get service calls on Christmas. I got a couple last year. 21 days until I get to go home. Mom and Dad are eating up wedding planning. I am still having a lot of struggles with Mom and battling her assumptions.
1- TheHizzy must not want a wedding, she’s never talked about having one
2- TheHizzy wont’ want a wedding dress if she does have a wedding
3- TheHizzy doesn’t really have friends because we don’t see them because we live 1/2 across the country
4- We don’t really have THAT big of a family that it accounts for over 1/2 the guest list
5- TheHizzy actually knows our friends and who we’d want to invite and she plans on inviting them if we give them money or notHAPPY DECEMBER FOLKS!
Ohh wedding planning…oh. Good luck, @TheHizzy.
Go @Copa.
I liked that what is love. I came across this & it made me laugh. https://youtu.be/LIrQbMXBHsM
My boyfriend’s grandfather passed away this morning. It was somewhat unexpected except he became really sick in the last couple days and my boyfriend was going to visit him tomorrow after he flew back. I told my bf I’m here if he wants to call from the airport. I’m not really sure what I can do at this point, if anything, really.
