I complained about JD earlier. JD I know you are going through difficult stuff but that doesnt mean that other people’s problems are less than yours. I hate when people diminish other people’s feelings saying to someone “you can’t feel that” or “it’s stupid to feel that way”. People are entitled to feel the way they feel.

In an effort to change the subject/ end Friday on a positive note – anyone have fun plans this weekend?
I have a date with manfriend tonight at my house since we are saving for a vacation. Grilling steaks and he’s bringing wine. Tomorrow I’m going to my college town 3 hours away for a dear friends baby shower. I missed her wedding due to my father’s stroke so it’s worth the drive to see her again!
Anyone else?
Tomorrow I’m volunteering with my dog at a senior home. Tomorrow night, I’m going speed dating with a friend and one of her friends. I’d never do something like that alone, so I’m glad we can make it into a girls night, too. My expectations are lower than ever, but I’m super curious what kind of people it draws.
I’m seeing Bumble Guy on Sunday for lunch and that pop-up Happy Place Museum I linked to. In the evening I have volunteer training.
Hopefully also going to the gym and meal prepping for next week because I’ve been over-indulging too much since, like, Memorial Day and feel quite large.
@Copa that’s awesome. Speaking of working out and meal planning – I’ve made it to crossfit four times this week for the first time since November due to my new work arrangement! It’s like starting over after averaging 1-2 times per week and I’m hella sore but so happy to be back.
@Ale that sounds amazing! Have some fun for me too!@veritek33 I didn’t go to Crossfit once during the month of June. I was busy with work and trying to make ALL THE PLANS to distract me from the neighbor situation. There were a couple weeks where I was out drinking six of seven nights, which isn’t my usual. ANYWAY, I went back last week, before my trip to California, and was glad to not have lost a ton of strength, and was like, yes, I’ve been dad bod-ing all over town but I can still cycle through these sets of touch and go clean & jerks at 95#. It was the worst idea ever, I was SO sore for like five days. Yikes. Anyway, hoping to get back into my 3-4 times/week routine starting tomorrow morning!
