“One of my dogs snores like a full size man. I dont’ even notice it any more.”
Oh yes, HOF* snores like a monster truck thrown in a trash compactor. For the first few months we had her, I would assume that it was coming from BOF** and try to roll her over. She’d get indignant and say it wasn’t her but I couldn’t believe that a sound that loud was coming from across the room rather than next to me.
*HOF
** Bride of FyodorI occasionally dog-sit for one of my friends, and his dog is a senior and overweight (though he’s on a weight loss journey). That dog snores SO LOUD. I had to kick him out of bed last time I watched him. Poor old dog.
@Ale Did you ever end up going on that date at that guy’s place? My hound is the least ladylike dog of all time and makes more disgusting noises than her senior brother who is actually quite gentlemanly. Luckily the cat is silent but shows his presence by pouncing upon M of V’s man parts, usually when he’s in a dead sleep. I do my best not to laugh – not always successful.
September 18, 2018 at 7:53 pm #798042@veritek33 your drunk story reminded me of my own. When I was with my ex a few years ago, he invited me out to his friends/coworkers party at their house. I brought a couple beers (two tall boys), and drank 1 and a half of them. Apparently I was more of a lightweight than anticipated, and we went home where I proceeded to get super sick. I felt so bad cause I had no intention of getting drunk, and honestly thought the two tall boys wouldn’t be that bad on me! He had a roommate at the time and I am sure he enjoyed the sounds. I am pretty sure at one point I went to him in my sick drunken stupor and told him I was dying haha I hadn’t been sick like that before when drinking, so was a total shock to me.
My current boyfriend has probably seen me a little tipsy, but not full drunk. I have no intention to ever get to that level again! Super embarrassing…
@Copa – your BG sounds like a good person. What a cute story 🙂
@Ale – becoming friends is a great thing. Or do you mean you don’t see in him the potential for more?My AG comes back really late on Saturday/very early Sunday. Have to say I’m rather nervous and yet super excited to see him again.
Ha. It’s actually so embarrassing. I’m in my early 30s, and I think I’m too old to act like that.
@Ale Honestly, becoming friends with someone you meet on a dating app is a success in its on weird way! Maybe disappointing if you’re looking for something serious (which you say you aren’t ready for yet). There have been a few guys that I’ve met who I actually threw out a genuine offer to get a friendly drink when I’ve really liked them but not wanted to date them. It’s not surprising that nobody has taken me up on it — ha! — but you can never have too many friends!
@alafair Are you gonna tell him you love him? 🙂Ms. VaderSeptember 19, 2018 at 2:52 pm #798148I feel we also need a thread around really crazy dates because man…do i have a dozen or so haha
I went on a great date last night – i am a very dominant person myself and he actually made me feel pretty easy going hahaha. He was very kind – opening doors and the like – he was really funny, very opinionated (which i actually really enjoy) and we had a good banter going back and forth. He actually ordered appies for us a the resteraunt which i have never had happen before and I surprising liked it.
We are going out again tonight!
