I am in Alberta and we got some snow this week, way below 0 degrees Celsius. I hate the cold..and snow…ugh I need to move somewhere warmer, or at least milder haha
JDNovember 9, 2018 at 10:46 am #807428@LisforLeslie cracking up. Must get bigger butt. I hear you can buy those pants now.
@Hizzy – I really haven’t had a period in a few years since I got the mirena! I spot occasionally and haven’t had a real one since I had it placed in March 2014. I’ll keep this one until 2021 or if MofV and I decide to have a baby. Though I’d like to live with one another and possibly get married first lol.
@JD as much as I enjoy screwdrivers at football games, that will 100% put me to sleep lol. I haven’t had one of those since I WAS in college.TheHizzyNovember 9, 2018 at 12:48 pm #807453@Ver yeah, I LOVE the no periods aspect. I don’t love the hormones. FH and I aren’t having our own and he’s already had permanent BC for 10+ years. I got mine before we even met, so it’s an internal debate.
I’m from the Midwest but have been in the south central for 6 years. It’s going to hit freezing tonight while I saw photos of snow back home! I’m jealous, I miss the snow! I bypassed my heat pump on my AC over the summer, and I haven’t reconnected it yet. It might be a cold one here for us this weekend. Guess I know my Saturday project!
November 9, 2018 at 2:33 pm #807459It is supposed to snow here on Sunday and be super cold Sunday and Monday – yay, I guess…As long as I get my errands done on Saturday so I don’t have to get out in it anyway. I do like the snow and it tends to not stick around to long so that’s good.
I recently had an ablation (and a tubal) since my periods kept getting closer together and heavier the older I get. So I’ll still have the hormones 🙁 but hopefully a much lighter to nonexistent period – we will see (just had this done last week so don’t know just yet the results in terms of period heaviness). But I’m almost 43 and definitely do not want anymore children so there is that.
LisforLeslieNovember 9, 2018 at 2:38 pm #807460It’s going to rain any minute here and I have an appointment with a new dermatologist. Ever since having to go off the pill (no more hormones) zit city. I’m sick of it.
JD – you can get butt enhancing pants. I think winter shape wear with padded tuchas with built in warmer might be a hot seller in IL/WI/MI. If anything you’d be popular at the bus stop.
JDNovember 9, 2018 at 2:59 pm #807462Well you’d have to drag me kicking and screaming to a bus stop but I for sure could be the hottest thing at Aldi. Haha. Last time I took public transportation a man pooped in front of me then tried to throw it….soooo ya never again.
Just loaded up all on sorts of random stuff at Aldi before my doctors appointment. Now to be told “you’re fine”. Ugh. Being more opetimistic than that but we shall see.
JDNovember 9, 2018 at 3:58 pm #807464Well he said my heart rate for sure is too high for no reason. Like I’m excersizing when I’m not. Said he said more salt in my diet (go figure) and put me on a beta blocker to keep my HR down. Said I likely will be very sleepy for a couple weeks. We shall see. Glad we are finally trying something.
JDNovember 11, 2018 at 8:07 pm #807660@kate you’ll be happy to know i got my cry in. Possibly not done. Been on and off today. Son said something that i felt was a bit rude although he was being funny but that did it. Luckily husband has been taking care of me all day and letting me watch the movies I want while we hide from the cold.
Mcj2006November 12, 2018 at 9:36 am #807692Sorry your having such a tough time JD.
I recently saw a post on a organization that helps people with the cost of adoption and thought maybe it would be worth checking out.
JDNovember 12, 2018 at 9:39 am #807694Thanks, I have heard about them but have not yet begun looking. PS, SOOO cold today. Since husband has off we went to this cute coffee place that is right next to our house but we still hadn’t been to. Cheap but I did hope they would have some good food but that was not the case. $1.50 for a latte though so that is good.
