A friend who is sick seems to be in the exact same boat. Apparently whatever is going around this year involves noses like faucets. I was sick pretty much non stop for three months when I first moved here (misery). As soon as I got better a few days later another head cold. I was keeping Kleenex in business. Hoping I avoid it this season. I pretty much lather son in antibacterial when he walks through the door this time of year since he is in school with so many chances to get sick.
TheHizzyDecember 13, 2018 at 2:02 pm #811889@JD I moved from the Midwest to the South Central about 6 years ago and I have never been more sick in my life as I have been here.
I got my tonsils out when I was a kid and I got strep throat while here. I’m convinced our weather swigs are the WORST for health and wellness. FMH lost his voice for a few days but he has horrible snoring and we couldn’t use his CPAP while he was sick, he just couldn’t breathe. I’m hoping we’re done for sickness this season!
Neither one of us ever had a fever though!!
December 14, 2018 at 2:55 pm #812060Glad you could get into the fertility specialist JD. I can’t believe the appointment along cost that much!
As for meeting families, my FIL has 7 siblings who all have children and some of those children started having children. And so on and so forth. I finally know who belongs to who but it took years and sometimes I don’t remember names right off – we don’t see the extended family all that often.
My grandmother has 12 siblings and she is one of the oldest and the youngest is around my moms age (I think). I know I’ve met them all at least once but I never see them so I could run into one of them on the street and I wouldn’t know who they are. As a kid, we would see more of them more often and it was always overwhelming seeing everyone.
JDDecember 14, 2018 at 5:59 pm #812084Thanks! Ya just for the first “hello this is rages what’s going on!” Crazy to imagine what one could spend past that.
Speaking of Wendy mentioning her Doms sudden teenager behavior…. lord save me right now. Aren’t they supposed to be good before Xmas so Santa brings more gifts? Dang transfers knowing Santa isn’t real. It did stop me from ordering another item for him. He has PLENTY for Xmas but I was going to toss something else on and just couldn’t with him screaming at us, for asking him to take his shoes off since the floors were wet. ??♀️ They sure test your sanity.
TheHizzyDecember 17, 2018 at 9:20 am #812234Met the rest of the family. Aspects of his life and how it ended up how it did makes a lot more sense now.
It was a great trip overall. His family, who he didn’t think was coming to our wedding, iterated several times that they are excited and they all plan to be there. Cross some fingers!
JDDecember 17, 2018 at 1:11 pm #812262Guys I’m so excited I’m dancing around. Before we moved forward with husbands stuff we had me checked intensively and I have 60% more eggs than most my age. Looking so good and so far no reason to think husbands surgery won’t work out well. We wanted to make sure I was good before we laid out 15k out of pocket for his surgery. Couldn’t have been better news. I’m on cloud 9! We had no reason to think differently on my end but the amount of times I heard “high risk” and “due to your age” I nearly vomited. We won’t truly know husbands end result until surgery (how stressful to have to actually do the surgery to find out) buy dr says he has no reason to worry. Feeling all fertile over here. And even fertile enough to have numerous. Also received exceptionally good financial news while at the doctor. Possibly my favorite doctors appointment ever, other than my cervix being assuaged ?
That sounds like great news @JD!
BG and I went to his group of friends’ annual “holiday hoopla” on Saturday. Holy crap, he has a LOT of friends. I was a little overwhelmed not knowing anyone but him at such a larger gathering. A couple of his friends came up to me to gush about how much they love him, how great and thoughtful he is, how happy they are to see him so happy, how glad they are that he met someone nice… it was sweet. 🙂 I’ve been superrrr slammed at work this month — my company shuts down for the holidays, which is great, but I have the same amount of work to do and over a week less time to do it in! — so we’re doing dinner and exchanging Christmas gifts together tomorrow. I think it’ll be the last I see him until I get back from Christmas at my parents’.
Oh have fun with the early xmas with him. Do tell us how it goes, I am sure lovely. Just found out husband DOES get xmas eve off, we weren’t sure since he is government and they have zero power to just give days off to be nice, so that’s nice. Also seems not likely we will end up going to his grandmothers as she fell recently and is not doing anything big. We might visit her to be nice but it won’t be the whole xmas hoopla, which is nice since she refuses to admit she remembers my name, so I wasn’t really looking forward to a whole event with her. Oh and no it isn’t old age, she’s just kind of mean. Maybe next time I will wear a shirt with my name across it. hahahaha
JDDecember 20, 2018 at 8:03 am #812623Stupid Ebayer is ripping me off. Ordered my husband a new coat as it wasn’t available elsewhere and they won’t send or commmnicate and now, unless they overnight it, it’s too late. Frustrated. Now I get to drive around town to find something comparable, which from my research is about $100 more. Grr. On the upside finding winter coats in Ca was impossible for anything but maybe one week a year, at least the one thing I can buy around here is a winter coat. Of course filed my dispute but so annoying when sellers do that.
