Huh, I just read online the other day that Tungsten rings can’t be cut but can be safely removed in an emergency. They just have to apply enough pressure with vice grips so the ring fractures safely.

Yeah I wouldn’t let FMH get Tungsten ring because of that reason.

I almost accidentally sent my ring down the drain this morning. Here goes another week of awesome I suppose.

Yes, tungsten will shatter or crack under a vice grip. There are definitely ways to get it off, just different than the standard malleable metals

Yeah when we looked last weekend the jeweler told MofV that tungsten isn’t recommended if you gain or lose weight a lot or work in an environment where you might need it cut off in an emergency.

@Copa you guys looked cute in your picture this weekend! I’m glad things are going well!

Our office is encouraging everyone to stay home on Wednesday. Not only is the high -12, you’re looking at -41 with the wind chill. That’s insane.

@ver, I need to go back and find the link to your ring.

Ya we have similar wind chill coming. I am actually getting very stressed about driving husband to airport on thursday morning due to roads and me just really have not driven in bad conditions for 20 years. The only stress really is that Ubers are somewhat limited here so not sure if I will be able to get him one at, what, 4:30a.m. Really hoping I can and don’t have to suck it up and drive him, terrified and having a damn anxiety attack the whole time that I am going to crash and freeze to death. Luckily the airport is about 10 mins away, but still, up a long, isolated road.

@JD–you can schedule an Uber ahead of time. That’s what I did when I had a 5:15 am flight–not taking public transit at that time–especially for a work trip. So I just scheduled an Uber–highly recommend it.
