Oh yeah, definitely sounds like an ear infection, poor thing.

I think little dogs just have tiny bladders and as they get older it gets worse. Mine is 12 and he definitely can’t hold it as long.

Poor guy hates snow now because his balance is so iffy from that vestibular thing. He tries to climb up on frozen snow to poop, ends up almost doing a headstand, poop goes falling, then he has to right himself and finish on flat sidewalk. He barely wants to walk anywhere at all. I really need spring to be here soon 🙁

I had to giggle at the headstand in the snow thing as sad as it is but the visual. My dog lifts his leg so high when he pees hes done a full cart wheel before. Luckily she doesn’t seem in pain, just maybe like they are itchy…it seems.

Yes please have it be spring. Of course, by summer I’ll be complaining much more about the heat and bugs. SOOO many bugs here, still have scars from last year from the bites. I can’t even walk to the car, fully covered head to toe, with bug spray, without being covered head to toe in bites. It’s misery. Never again living next to a river/lake or anything that so insanely attracts mosquito.

Hound of Fyodor hates the cold but tries to eat all the snow. I also hate the cold but do not eat snow.

@Fyodor Maybe you need to try pouring warm maple syrup on it.

I just laid under the clothes out of the dryer. Yes, ok, winter can end. Also, it was wonderful and I did not want to leave.

Searching heated throw blankets right now on Amazon.

On the subject of dogs, mine spent two weeks with my mom while I was on vacation. She doted on him (and put chicken in his every meal). He seems so down since we came back home, won’t really play at all. I think he misses her. The only times he’s seemed cheery are when we run into his dog friends on walks.

My mom always cooks bacon on weekends and makes extra for dogs. What sucks is he can’t stay with my parents anymore because their new building is no pets. So we have to pay for him to stay at a cage-free house that caters to senior dogs, and it really adds up.

I’m going to your moms on the weekend! For some reason bacon is like double the price here. I drove by millions of pigs coming here so I don’t get it. But avocados are cheaper, although not edible. Confusing for sure.

I’ve been eating really well but currently craving this biscuits and gravy omelette at the diner by my house. I don’t even want to imagine how bad it is for you. Maybe since we will be up early Sat to take the kid to the airport I’ll indulge.

@Skyblossom, I live in the city so it’s got too strong of an exhausty taste for me.

On dogs – our little one goes through spurts where she does really well for months with no overnight potty breaks and then she’ll have a couple of weeks where she has to go out every single night. IDK why that is but we just deal with it. They both went to the vet last Saturday and both need to loose weight. I’ve cut back on the food but I feel like they are starving! I already had cut back some. I debate with myself saying they are happy to well they need to be healthy. Arg.

I am so ready for spring. It keeps snowing on the damn weekends and then proceeds to mostly melt during the week but it’s making it hard to get the dogs out for walks.

Anyone ever made snow ice cream? It’s pretty awesome.

Interesting to hear yours do that too. Ours areon low cal now and a bit less too per doctor and it took a week or two before he were begging for more food. Mine still does occasionally but he is a good hound always so no surprise.

Ya the snow just on the weekends is lovely. Here’s a day off, youre stuck inside. Grr. Luckily in our village (I actually live in what’s considered a village), they are really good about the snow removal and pre treating. Better than anywhere I’ve ever seen. So at least we can go local places. The downside being there are only a few local places, but it helps from being so pent up.

@Fyodor I thought maybe you just didn’t like your snow plain. Unfortunately it sounds a little too flavorful.
