Has anyone gotten a Dazzle Dry manicure yet? It goes on and comes off like regular polish, but dries immediately and is supposed to last almost as long as gel. I just got it, so I can’t say how long it lasts, but no UV light and no soaking off is great. Especially because, even though I had an appointment, I had to wait quite a while and I couldn’t leave because those foils were on my fingers, and it can’t be good to have acetone soaking into your nails for that long. Also, my nails are looking pretty banged up from getting a few gel manicures lately. This might be a good solution.
February 6, 2022 at 9:29 am #1102432I wrote about Dazzle Dry in 2017 here:
https://dearwendy.com/wendys-picks-33/My friend is a private chef for a rich and very famous man and at the time, the wife had just discovered dazzle dry and all her society friends were raving about it, so I bought the polish and still use it (haven’t had a professional mani-pedi with it, but it works super well for DIY purposes).
Oh wow, I thought it was new. That’s Boston for you. On their website they have kits consisting of mini sizes of the 4 steps, which is awesome because I never go through a whole bottle of polish. I got pretty good at doing my own nails at home in 2020-2021, with Olive and June being a solid option, but this could be better.
February 6, 2022 at 3:22 pm #1102437I just scheduled and got my shingles vaccine and it was free with my insurance! I was ready to pay for it because I’d heard it was a lot. If you had chicken pox as a kid, I’d highly suggest seeing if you can get it. You qualify if you had chicken pox and are over 18.
I love science.February 7, 2022 at 9:28 am #1102452I had about a half bottle of L’Oréal 8 second miracle water and my hair feels so silky and soft right now. Not bad frizz relief for like, $10. I must not have read the directions right when I first bought and tried it because it felt greasy to me but this time my hair really likes it. Another good rec, Kate

@Hfantods, June is a good month. Might be slightly biased considering it is my birth month 😛I have my first wedding in Ontario April 1st and bought my tickets. Curious to see what a post Omicron wave wedding will be like!
I enjoy seeing all the styles of wedding bands etc people go for. One person who lives in Montana got a sapphire (which look to be a teal color, dayum gorgeous) as it is a common stone there. Another as pink moissanite. My two friends who got engaged look to have diamonds. But will confirm in person when I see them. I personally like Amethyst and plan to get one when and if that day comes.
For anyone curious, it’s been about a month of using the Essy lash serum and I can definitely see a difference. I used to have nice, long lashes but in the past year or so noticed a difference in ’em… and on my right eye, I noticed that in one spot my eyelashes seemed to break off. Anyway, they look like they used to at the moment and I’m pleased.
Anyone doing anything fun for Valentine’s Day? We aren’t big Valentine’s Day people but never mind an excuse to eat chocolate or go to dinner. We just got back from Mexico, so we have nothing planned and are both eager to eat a bit more balanced than our vacation selves, haha.
