I made appointments for my kids to get their first doses next week! I’m so excited.
In other news, my son was exposed to a Covid positive at school. My son’s bus seat mate and cubby mate had it, I guess. We weren’t asked or notified at all by the school, I found out because I know the mother of the other kid. I’m super annoyed that the school never even contacted us until I reported my son’s symptoms and reported him absent. We are now waiting for test results. Hopefully it is not Covid, although it probably is.

BittergaymarkNovember 7, 2021 at 9:30 am #1099873At LAX on my way (unexpectedly) to Salt Lake City. (Landed a bizarre writing gig. Long story…) So I am up at the crack of dawn. Wired on bottled Starbucks.
Yesterday, I boldly ventured across Vermont Avenue to see my very first movie at the Los Feliz 3 since — hell, I don’t even know when. But yeah… The before times.
Anyway — The French Dispatch is quirky fun. Visually stunning, too. A most excellant diversion. Insane cast. Huge! The film is bold, bizarre, and brilliant. Go.
November 8, 2021 at 9:22 am #1099878Ugh, 3 confirmed cases at my kids’ school over friday-sunday, two of whom are teachers who must teach across multiple classes (like a specials teacher) bc 13 classrooms were exposed and have to quarantine (including one of my kids’ classes for the second time in a month). So over this and so glad in a few weeks, my kids will be fully vaccinated and will be better protected against covid AND quarantines.
