I can’t believe I forgot to post this. This made me laugh out loud on Friday.
83M. I was up in Palm Beach yesterday and asked if my aunt had been to lunch at Carol-Lago lately.
Oh, and while Trump is going to appeal – I’m going to rely on people who know more than me on what will actually happen.
$364 Million dollar fine to Trump Org. The Accountants are banned from ever being in charge of a company’s finances again. Company is not permitted to request any loan from a bank headquartered in NY for three years. Eric and Donny Jr are banned from having any oversight of a company or board in NYC for 3 years.
Again, if they want to file an appeal I believe they have to put the money in escrow. But not a lawyer. However as this is the state and not an individual, the state can do asset forfeiture, as in take Trump’s properties, to pay the bill.
I was texting about this with a friend yesterday and she was like, “Just watch him send out a fundraising email to his base to pay for this.” I’d not put that past him.
@Copa – he won’t need to. He is setting up is daughter in law Lara to take over the RNC and hand all of the money in their coffers to him. The fact that the RNC won’t be able to fund any campaigns anywhere else is none of his concern or Lara’s. She’s said she’ll direct every dollar to him.
It won’t stop him from fundraising to his PACs to pay for personal things – like Melania’s hair stylist.
Lara will happily take the job to promote her music career and give her opportunities to entertain at RNC conventions. (I swear I wish I were making that last part up).
