Updates: “Waiting for the Turning Point” Responds

updatesIt’s time again for “Dear Wendy Updates,” a feature where people I’ve given advice to in the past let us know whether they followed the advice and how they’re doing now. Today we hear from “Waiting for the Turning Point” who was angry that her long-distance boyfriend showed his new house to a female friend (whom he’d been spending lots of time with) instead of waiting to show her the house first. Her update below.

Thank you for addressing my situation and for writing back to me. It’s often hard to be objective while you’re in a situation, but I’m glad that the “house issue” served as a wake up call for me. Suffice to say, I have moved on. The guy in question has tried to create/maintain a friendship, but I believe that since he didn’t value me before, he couldn’t now. Plus, he insisted on keeping his “friend,” and I wanted no part of that.

So again: Thank you for the advice. You’re doing an amazing job. Keep up the good work!

I think you made a wise decision, and if I helped in some small way, then I’m glad and grateful. Best wishes!

Eh, I think she still sounds paranoid and silly in her insecurity.
