I read that there’s a county on Az with so much vaccine doses, they’re giving them to anyone over 18. I think there’s been a really wide range of rollout experiences across the country, and much of it makes no sense.
March 5, 2021 at 8:46 pm #1031549It was like that here too but in the past couple weeks it’s gotten much easier to find appointments. Maybe this would be helpful?

March 5, 2021 at 8:42 pm #1031547There were appointments in Dartmouth ten minutes ago but now gone. I’ll keep an eye out!
March 5, 2021 at 8:13 pm #1031543Have they tried Walgreens? Walgreens across the country are reserving their vaccine doses for 65+, and it’s sometimes easier for that age group to appointments there.

March 3, 2021 at 3:56 pm #1031443My friends – a married teacher couple – hit their second Moderna shots on Monday too and about 24 hours later got chills, headache and fatigue. I think they’re fine today.
February 22, 2021 at 7:54 am #1030724I spoke too soon. While we were out taking the kids ice skating and going for a long walk in the botanic garden, the fatigue hit. I got home, went straight to bed and stayed there for about 16 hours. No aches or anything – just crushing fatigue. I slept 11 hours! Feel pretty good this morning.
February 21, 2021 at 8:51 am #1030693Quick update: I got my vaccine yesterday. It’s been nearly 24 hours and I feel fine – no side effects yet. Arm is a tiny bit sore at the injection site but that’s it.
February 19, 2021 at 12:51 pm #1030656Drew never ever complains about anything which is why I was so concerned last spring when he complained about covid symptoms days after I started feeling them. Anyway, he says his arm is sore and that’s his only reaction so far to the Pfizer shot yesterday. But then he went down for a nap and that was over two hours ago and he’s still out cold, so maybe the fatigue has caught him.
February 19, 2021 at 10:23 am #1030646I have also heard that people who get the Moderna report stronger reactions to the first shot than those who get Pfizer. Nearly everyone I know – but not 100% – had some kind of reaction to the second shot, regardless of which one it was. People over 65 and people with higher BMI seem to report less reaction though.
February 19, 2021 at 10:04 am #1030643It’s frustrating that MA requires two comorbidities, Kate! It would make more sense to do like a hierarchy of comorbities or one comorbidity plus a public-facing job or something like that.
