Would love to hear how the serum goes. I heard about Latisse horror stories so I have avoided all that but this seems like a strengthening serum. I’d love to do a lash lift too but I don’t want to damage my lashes.

My derm also recommended La Roche Posay. The lipikar body lotion is amazing — apply to body after a shower. For daily moisturizer my derm recommended the toleriane which is a nice light moisturizer. I use the sunscreen too but the tinted seems to be out of stock.

Happy early birthday @ktfran! Glad to hear you are getting better. Sorry to hear r
COVID ended up getting you too.

I’m feeling more in a rut than usual. I am aware that I need to go on walks or hikes. I just feel so unmotivated and down. It’s a vicious cycle. What are people doing to cope now that we are all two years into this?

Amazing, thanks all. I’m thinking of getting that done for the wedding so I can try it out now, and then let my nails recover before doing it before the wedding

I think at one point there was discussion on manicures, probably pre pandemic. Any thoughts on gel manicures? How much damage is there on your nails?

In an attempt to find the convo I saw Ver’s post about her wedding. So amazing you pivoted. Did your SIL get married in Disney?

I am 5 months out. Can’t believe covid is still around ha. We have some contingencies for guest lists. Wish we didn’t have to deal with this. The good thing is that even though my venue is indoors the past two years they rented a tent with the couples. So outdoor might be an option.

Hope you recover quickly @ ktfran. That’s great you can get both tests. Drink liquids!

In Ontario only front line workers or something are only allowed tests. If you have symptoms you can’t get tested and you are required to isolate for 5 days. So the only relevant numbers are hospitalization and ICU. I understand there’s a shortage but it’d be great to know.

I had the strangest one day sore throat. I feel fine now but though.

I hope all those with or exposed to COVID are doing ok & recover smoothly.

I recently moved in with my fiancé into a semi detached so we have more space than our two condos. We got rid of some stuff but by the end of packing I just packed everything to go through later. My downfall is papers and books. I am sentimental. My mom has also kindly kept my stuff at my parents’ place but I know that’ll be coming over too. I don’t know if I should get rid of childhood books or keep them for hypothetical children. On the plus side of isolation we finally put up art on the walls and it’s all feeling like home!

Fortunately I’ve tested negative on a PCR test (and was lucky to find one) but I’ve had the closest COVID scare now. We’ve been working in the office since July 2020. Although I haven’t been entirely impressed with our COVID policy, they did mandate vaccines or negative tests and the entire office is vaccinated.

Last Wednesday I had an itchy throat and decided to wfh. I also was lucky to have a rapid test available and tested negative. On Thursday I found out my coworkers who are on either side of me tested positive on a rapid test Wednesday night and had minor cold symptoms. They closed entire office on Thursday. I’m relieved I decided to wfh so at least I wouldn’t have that anxiety but still disconcerting.

By Friday I had a legit stuffy nose. My fiancé and I spent Christmas isolating which sucked but was for the best. Managed to get a PCR test Monday and received results 12 hours later.

Feel fortunate now. It does seem that infection is inevitable with omicron. Just trying to keep hopeful.

We are at a high of case counts in six months. Ugh. I think they are accelerating booster shots here.

It’s just that one year ago we had the hope with vaccines. Now, I don’t know. Maybe the new antiviral?

Omicron’s Rt is about 4 which is like not good.

Wouldn’t it be in the company’s interest to provide it then?… we sort of joked that our company insurance covered IVF or something along those lines which was not necessarily in the firm’s interest haha.

Is this a question of is it worth it or more you might be compromised for speaking out? HR probably is the best first channel.

Yes, would love to hear about the Christmas special when you’re able @BGM

Oh a fellow Ontarian, @lucidity! I do wish we could actually mandate the QR code. It’s so easy to fake the other.

So exciting to hear about boosters on here. They’ve expanded eligibility here to 50 plus, but still need to have six months from the second shot.

I’m struggling to see when this can be “over”. Until the world is vaccinated variant will still develop.
