Wow, @copa! There is a difference, but it’s subtle. Also FWIW I wouldn’t notice baggy eyes in your before picture until you mentioned it.
My lashes are growing out pretty normally. If anything I miss the minimal smudging from mascara! Even with waterproof mascara I never found one that gave volume and didn’t smudge.
A recent study came out about gel manicures that the UV light changes DNA and causes cancer. I think you’re only curing your nails for maybe 10 min total but it doesn’t hurt to apply sunscreen on your hands and maybe wear UV screening tipless gloves
@copa, I use https://www.sephora.com/ca/en/product/sephora-collection-blush-brush-P479459 it’s fine.
I have straight lashes so the lash lift def added a curl. It included a tint which I don’t think did much for my dark lashes. I think that might be worth it for you. I still “needed” volume and used non waterproof mascara some days. I liked that since my lashes held a curl the mascara didn’t smudge as much, a problem for me. I guess for me it was pretty subtle. But I’ll see when they grow how much lashes are stick straight again haha.
Ooh that’s a great idea @copa! We are going to a cooking class tonight. It was our Christmas present to each other. We rarely do dates on weeknights so it is nice. Two speakeasies opened up in the last month. Haven’t been to either but I guess they are very popular!
I recently go the Rare Beauty liquid blush and bronzer. I like it. A little goes a long way!
Other beauty stuff, I got a lash lift for the first time last month. I go back and forth if I want to do it again. It was a weird experience keeping my eyes closed for half an hour. I’m still growing them out so will keep an eye on that because people say their lashes grow back wonky.
Happy early birthday @ktfran!
That sounds like a good way to go, @copa!
I’ve noticed more actives on shelves, even with more drugstore brands. Wish they were available before I dropped $$$ on Drunk Elephant.
Coincidentally I am getting a long overdue haircut tomorrow. I have gotten my nails done for a few rounds recently but my nail tech increased her prices so not sure anymore. To be fair she was undercharging. She’s 19 and such an entrepreneur! But anyway she is charging more market rates and I don’t know if I want to spend that.
We were deciding between that and the Greek Islands! Married life is good! I can’t remember if I wrote about it here but we moved in together while engaged so it was a bit different living together while not busy wedding planning. But we found a new pattern.
Hope you can get a spa night soon, if not tonight!
We have also never made turkey before. Any recipe? I think we might spatchcock it.
Just catching up now, after submitting the days I didn’t take for vacation. We get paid out for unused days. I’m really bad at taking vacation, not a humble brag. I want to take more intentional vacation, even a staycation, particularly. Travel is also tiring and I always feel like I need a vacation after a vacation haha. But! We’ve decided to go to Prague and Dubrovnik in the spring for a trip/honeymoon.
Are you able to do a spa night, @copa? That sounds fab!
We are hosting my in laws for Christmas this year. They just moved into a fixer upper and cannot host. A little nervous but also excited.
I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter, @anonymousse. I’m glad she is ok. That is so scary. I could only think of movies. Still, how could you know how to throw a punch, physically?
It’s sad that you have no control over who bullies your child. I also wouldn’t know what to do if my child were the bully.
Hope you feel better @rangerchic
Day 4. Starting to feel better. It really is like a flu, which is not fun, fuck everyone who said “it’s just a flu”!! Still sore throat. Ran through gamut of muscle soreness and fatigue. Now congestion.
Also in terms of flats, I’ve been wearing Dr Liza — https://www.drlizashoes.com/collections/dr-liza-shoes/dr-liza-flat?sort_by=manual
She’s Canadian. Pretty comfortable. I also have her heels. Sizing is weird. I think size down. She has periodic 50 percent off sales.
Interesting this thread has been rejuvenated. COVID finally got to me. Mostly sore throat now. I can’t tell if my muscles are sore from lying in bed. Just frustrating. I have been doing more maskless activities. I also have to cancel my bivalent vaccine which is in 3 weeks.
Sorry to hear about your boyfriend’s stepdad, @copa. Hope his family is doing OK. Enjoy your trip!
Hm I’ve never really used a paper planner, always just Outlook. It’s kind of clumsy on the phone IMO. Do you put work and personal appointments in the planner?
