I haven’t found a vitamin c serum that really stands out either for effectiveness (hard to tell because I use multiple products with different benefits) but the new Olay one with Peptides feels and smells very nice. TruSkin naturals from Amazon seems good too.
So the Dazzle Dry does not last like gel. I’m not sure it’s worth the extra cost. I had a dark color that chipped on the 7th day like a regular mani does for me, and now a light color that chipped on the 3rd day. It might be the technique, like they didn’t use all the steps in the system, but I went to 2 different places.

We went out to a nice seafood dinner Saturday night and there was no craziness. I wore a dark red velvet cocktail dress I rented.
So my aunt has been stuck in a nursing home since 2018, and she’s not mobile, but mentally totally sharp. It sucks. And she has never had a cell phone and I don’t think she’s able to use the iPad my parents gave her. My dad logs into her email and reads it to her on the phone, then replies back whatever she dictates. Anyway, I mention this in case anyone else would find this useful for a relative, we got her this photo frame that you can send photos to. It has a remote control, and when she turns it on, it will tell her she has so many new pics from so and so. It’s set up so it will accept emails from certain people. It’s so easy to send her pictures from my phone, it’s like texting (except she doesn’t reply, but we can talk on the phone about it). I can even send memes and screenshots of funny headlines. My dad manages the app so he can clear stuff out and just keep what she wants. She told me how this nurse from South Africa told her about baboons going in grocery stores and stealing food, so I googled it and sent her pics. Or when my husband picks the dog up from daycare, he takes a pic of the hilarious dogs that work at the counter. Or this lady from MA won a trip on The Price Is Right… to New Hampshire, so I sent the headline from the article. She actually really likes the frame and uses it, and the remote is manageable even though she’s shaky.
It could be good for any grandparent, but especially your folks who are bad with tech. The brand is Nixplay, and they have it at Best Buy.
Yeah, you can’t put it in your roots, and if you don’t have a lot of hair, then one dose as marked on the back of the bottle is good.
Oh wow, I thought it was new. That’s Boston for you. On their website they have kits consisting of mini sizes of the 4 steps, which is awesome because I never go through a whole bottle of polish. I got pretty good at doing my own nails at home in 2020-2021, with Olive and June being a solid option, but this could be better.
Has anyone gotten a Dazzle Dry manicure yet? It goes on and comes off like regular polish, but dries immediately and is supposed to last almost as long as gel. I just got it, so I can’t say how long it lasts, but no UV light and no soaking off is great. Especially because, even though I had an appointment, I had to wait quite a while and I couldn’t leave because those foils were on my fingers, and it can’t be good to have acetone soaking into your nails for that long. Also, my nails are looking pretty banged up from getting a few gel manicures lately. This might be a good solution.
