Or go with an elderly person to their appointment like I did? I told my neighbor I wasn’t going to say anything, just see if they offered me a dose. He asked for me, and the nurse asked if I was his daughter, which might have made a difference but I said no, just his neighbor, and she told me about their waiting list. I went downstairs and signed up for it while he was being observed.
Congrats!
Yeah, I don’t think I ever had the virus. I had a bad cough for a while circa Feb 2020 but that’s not uncommon. And haven’t felt sick since then. And literally nothing from this shot, though I suppose it could still kick in.
*just remembered I did have a bit of a cough in December and had a negative Covid test.
We had dinner with a friend last night who’s been vaccinated since December because he works for a hospital. He said with his second dose he was having crazy stroke-like symptoms but he just kind of crashed and woke up fine.
Because he was coming over, I was kind of dressed up and wearing a one-shoulder top that exposed my whole left arm. And that’s when they called me. So all I had to do was sit down and the guy could stab me. I felt so prepared!!
Yay, my mom just texted me that she got a call from a woman who will book them both at Foxboro stadium. My mom asked if she could also book my brother (48, obesity, definitely breathing problems but idk what’s been diagnosed) and she said yes, she’ll book all three of them. That’s a weight off my mind!
ETA, she can’t book my brother because he doesn’t have a verified second comorbidity. But she will book both my parents. This lady isn’t from the state site, she’s a volunteer who trained other volunteers how to book appointments for people. My mom got her number from her friend down the street who got her shot through this woman.
