If the stuff just transfers onto your eyelid while it’s drying, take a q-tip with a tiny bit of remover or Vaseline and run it over the marks after they’re dry.
If it’s oil that makes it run during the day, I would say you probably need to use primer (Milani Eyeshadow Primer is great and cheap) and set it with powder before applying liner and mascara. And also make sure you’re not getting moisturizer or something on your eyelid. Also, try tightlining, where you just take the pencil and apply it to your upper waterline by gently pulling the eyelid up. That way the liner gives you definition without being on your actual eyelid.
I think makeup in our moms’ day probably did clog your pores, but new formulations don’t.
I think I’d be super washed out without: A brow gel, mascara, concealer, blush, and a little bronzer. Then a BB cream polishes everything up. But yeah, it’s totally “you do you.” I see a wide range at work. I think a little makeup is the way to go, but if you look good with none, that’s totally ok too in a professional setting.
FWIW I don’t find it thick. I use half a pump as a little goes a long way, but the consistency isn’t heavy or thick. It spreads easy and I don’t “see” it on my face even though it’s not as sheer as Maybelline bb. I think it blurs pores nicely too.
It’s not dirt cheap – like $14 at Target – but absolutely well worth it.
So this is about drugstore makeup, which I’m partial to. Has anyone tried the e.l.f Camo CC Cream? I tried it because YouTubers were raving that it’s better than the It Cosmetics one, which I haven’t tried. Anyway it’s fantastic. It definitely covers like a foundation, but not cakey, not needing a primer, nothing like that. It looks very natural while being pretty full-coverage. It has SPF 30 and also collagen, peptides, and niacamide. I still love Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream, which is kind of sheer and that’s fine for my maturing skin, but i love this one too and this would be fantastic for someone who wants more coverage. It wears really well too, all day, even on the oily parts of my face. I got my usual “light” with warm tones, and it’s perfect. 5 stars.
My husband just told me he thinks he’s going to need to start traveling again. He’s in sales, and normally travels a lot for industry events but hasn’t since March. He says his competitors have been showing up, and he feels like he should too. He’s looking at a trip in February. I’m so goddamn frustrated about the vaccine rollout, because if we knew we could all get vaccinated this spring, we could just stay the fuck home until that happens. But now it’s like who even knows.
Hope you’re both okay! I feel like maybe this new variant has been around the cities for a while and that’s why more ppl seem to be getting Covid even though they hardly do anything?
My boss had her kids and their partners over for Christmas, and one of her kids has now tested positive. In my head I’m like, “whyyyyy?!”
That said, a lot of people got together with family. I just found out even my most germophobic friend did. And so many cars were gone from our street the past 2 weeks, that are now back. We saw our next-door neighbors in the hallway coming back from somewhere with suitcases.
I definitely do recommend getting the John Frieda if you’re on the fence. For me, compared to Revlon, it’s more smoothing with more volume, less heat on high, longer-lasting style, and ability to curl the ends. Well worth $40. It might be branded as Conair Infiniti now.
