Fuck. My brother in law is in the hospital with a partially collapsed lung. I’m sure it’s Covid-related.

He got it about two months ago. He went on a hunting trip with friends. One of the friends was sick so didn’t go. They invited another to take his place. This mother fucker went knowing he had Covid and didn’t tell anyone. BIL and another dude got it a couple days later.

The only reason we found out this one asshole had it is because his wife posted on FB.

    People fucking suck.

Oh, also, hfantods… check out Reformation for dresses. They’re a little pricey, but they’re sustainable and have fair labor practices, etc. I don’t mind paying a little more if I know the reason why it cost more. They have such pretty fabrics, colors and patterns.

They ship internationally. I didn’t check for Canada specifically. Oh, I think they have some dresses at Nordstrom’s too.

@hfantods, last Friday, I ordered a super fun, sequined mini-dress from Sezane for my friend’s delayed 40th (now 42) in June. Her party is basically like a wedding reception because she’s never been married and she wanted to have a celebration. Colors of the sequins are blues/greens/oranges and is part of their spring collection. I really, really hope it fits.

I have a leopard print and purple suede. They mold to your feet nicely.

    I love my snow uggs!!!!!

I wear those or my allbirds into the office and change shoes once there. Pre-pandemic, I had about six pairs of shoes at the office. So ridiculous.

Last week, my regional executive (about 30 states) sent an e-mail promoting a return to the office, aiming for three days a week. But we also have an initiative called Freedom to Grow, so people are supposed to chat with their managers and agree on an office/wfh scenario.

I’ll continue to go into the office for strategy meetings or when needed.

Right now, I’m asking my team to come in only when necessary, so if we’re prepping for a client presentation or they’re needed for a strategy session. I may eventually ask for us all to come in at least one day a month, on the same day. We’ll see.

I do know other teams are requiring more in-office appearances. Like our architecture/urban planning/interiors group in Chicago are coming in three days a week. Our transportation engineers are rarely in. Our water engineers are in almost every day.

THIS!! “If you don’t vote in local elections, school board, etc I really encourage you to do what you can to stop the rampant racism and fascism blooming.”

I could easily argue that local and state elections are just as or even more important than national elections.

Another reason it’s crazy to lift mask mandates in Chicago next week… St. Pat’s day is just around the corner and people get effing crazy here. With things lifting, I can’t imagine how it will be. YUCK.

Ugh. Masks mandates and vacc card at restaurant mandates are being lifted in Chicago next Monday. Not cool.

You only have to wear a mask on public transit and in medical centers. Oh, and they’ll still be required at schools.

I’ll still wear my mask. And I’ll probably always wear it while traveling.

The other thing about actually going out on V-day… you’re dealing w/ overcrowded restaurants, crappy specials and a lot of people who don’t normally go out will go out on this day. It’s truly not worth it, IMO.

We’re not V-day people either. I think we’re ordering sushi tonight and I picked up SUGOi bon bons from Aya Pasty. They collaborate on special occasions.

    June, getting close!!

Yes, I did engagement earrings. Since getting engaged in 2016, I think I’ve only worn different earrings a handful of times. Def less than 10. Maybe not even 5.
