We love our condo, but had we known there would be a pandemic and we’d switch from going into the office every day to working from home nearly every day, we would have bought a place with one more room, or at least one more half room. Or even a nook. Something!
So I feel you @Copa.
How fun @copa! When I was engaged the first time, my aunt and I browsed the rings at Tiffany’s. I knew it wasn’t going to be purchased there, but I wanted to see what I liked. My ex and his dad went to a diamond dealer in Miami, picked out the diamonds and had the ring made.
I didn’t want a second engagement ring, so the husband bought me diamond earrings. Again, he used a diamond dealer, I think this one was in TX. He went to diamond dealers here to look, but most discouraged him from getting high quality diamonds for earrings. Dude, do you not like money?? Idiots.

@Rangerchic, I do have sensitive skin and I use a retinol cream at night. Exactly as @kate mentioned, I started with a low % cream 2-3 times a week and now I’m up to about 5 times a week. I use Obagi Retinal 0.5, although I finally bought the 1.0 and am going down from 5 times a week to 2-3 again while I adjust to the higher %, if that makes sense?
I’ve heard good things about The Ordinary and wouldn’t mind trying their products sometime.
I’m with Copa. I don’t care about aging. I oddly always round up when I’m asked my age. It’s more about looking tired vs. looking bright and refreshed. I do color my hair blonde because the natural color is that ugly, dull dishwater color. I’ve tried to go darker, but I didn’t like it. My sister has beautiful, shiny brown hair and doesn’t have to do a thing. Jerk!
Anyway, I just want to feel good and look refreshed. A little bit of help can’t hurt.
Well, there’s extractions. My skin is pretty good, but I do have a couple areas that need help. Also, because my skin changes regularly throughout the year, I can get targeted treatments instead researching and buying several different kinds of creams or oils or whatever. I prefer to keep my at home care super simple.
I know you def like researching and trying products to see what works. I’m not good at it/don’t like it.
My at home experimentation is always related to food, my true passion.
Or I guess I could see a dermatologist. But meh. The couple I’ve gone to throughout my life I absolutely didn’t like.
She totally went alien. I have a hard time looking at people who’ve had that much work done. My recently watched Modern Family in full and Both Julie Bowen and Ty Burrel were a little had to look at toward the end.
That’s why I want to try regular facials. I know it won’t help aging and fine lines, but I’m hoping it will help keep my skin looking fresh. Especially in Chicago since the weather can swing 40+ degrees in a day.
