I was using my personal Mac laptop which is old and also about 13″ – so small! I don’t do anything like InDesign but it was still frustrating to work on such a small screen. So this past weekend I went to work and brought home my Mac desktop. It’s so freaking huge on my home desk! So much better…less eye (and neck) strain.

We were planning a trip to a cabin somewhere in state but I think I’m not ready to do that. Maybe later in the summer depending on what keeps happening with the virus.

I was just trying to look up the news and I really just don’t have it in me today to do that. I closed those webpages. I think I’ll get my pup out for a nice long walk here in a bit.

That sucks about the walkers @Ktfran. In our neighborhood, there’s plenty of space to go around the sidewalk (the roads, etc.) so almost no one walking wears a mask. I don’t either – but everyone in our neighborhood goes around each other – with lots of distance.

Colorado as let up on some restrictions. I don’t plan to go out though (besides the usual grocery run). I do have to make a run to a post office for work but thankfully the college has it’s own PO and I don’t have to go to a public one!

Still debating on getting my hair done on June 5th. It’s not a huge salon and they are taking precautions but it still makes me nervous!

I was supposed to have a hair appointment today and the salon is open! But I cancelled it though I desparately need it. Have to wear a mask while getting hair done and I just don’t feel ready to go anywhere I don’t have to. I have another one June 5th already schedule. I hope I feel comfortable enough to keep that one!

The meat…the local stores here (Costco and Kings Soopers – basically Kroger) are all limiting meat purchases. I’m trying to eat more vegetarian but with my particular case of Crohns it’s actually harder for me to eat a lot of veggies (they have to be cooked well too). So…I’ll just keep trying, it’s all I can do anyway.

had to take the pups to the vet today (annual visit plus one of my dogs was bleeding from what we thought was his bottom – turns out he’s bleeding from his anal sack. Plus has a skin condition…so put him on antibiotic and a special shampoo plus a shot for itching. And they don’t allow us in the clinic (had to wait outside). It’s been a long morning already.

I hope all here who are sick are on their way to mending.

My husband and I are supposed to go to Grand Cayman June 6th. I was hoping beyond hope that this whole thing would be more under control by now so that we could still go on our vacation. Now it doesn’t look like we will get to go. I haven’t cancelled our flights yet….I guess it’s time to do that. I’m so sad!

    Hang in there BGM…

@BGM I’ve been following your picture posts on Instagram. They are such lovely pictures! I hope you can keep posting them 🙂 And I hate wind…there is a lot of wind where I live and it drives me bonkers. So I feel ya!

Colorado is set to start opening up some of the same businesses as other states this Friday. Hair salons, tattoo parlors (I mean really?), and others. No restaurants or bars yet, that’s around May 1st. Denver was the most hard hit area of Colorado (unsurprisingly) I don’t live in Denver, thankfully.

I have been going to see a physical therapist though. I didn’t want to get out but the pain in my shoulder/arm area (caused by a neck issue) just got so intense to where my fingers were going numb. So yesterday they tried dry needling…and it hurt like a MFer. Supposed to try again Friday…ha, maybe.

So glad you went to the ER @Helen. I hope the treatments help and you recover faster so you can get home.

oh and @TheLadyE -congrats on being a (the) finalist! Good luck making your PB&J presentation!

I hope everyone who’s been sick continues to recover and we all stay safe from this virus.

Also, @BGM – I saw your pics and they are lovely! My dad and his wife did some camp hosting in Arizona and I loved the pics he would send. And I’m jealous of the warmer temps you have. I’m in Colorado and though, like today, it’s nearly 60 it still feels so cold because it’s cloudy. The sunnier days are nice but then it’s windy and that brings the temp back down. Sigh….

I thought I’d get a lot more done working at home (more house stuff like cleaning/baking) but, alas, it’s not working out that way. I am keeping up my workouts and eating better though!

My mom is having surgery today (she has breast cancer stage 1 so it was caught early) to remove the tumor. I’m worried that surgery is going to put her at more high risk to catch the virus and the state she is in is not doing as much for prevention. Plus she’s a smoker…I feel like most smokers who get it don’t do so well.

I am on immunosuppressants and worry about getting the virus. My daughter’s college (she lives at home) has gone to online classes the rest of the semester but she works at Home Depot who has only shortened hours, not closed completely. My husband works in construction and so far are still busy. He’s not around a lot of people(thankfully) and we really can’t afford for him to be out of work if they decide to close IDK what we will do. I’m able to work from home for now but don’t make enough to support the household. It’s really anxiety producing.

Our state has issued the same order; take-out or drive-thru only and grocery stores finally started limiting the # of supplies you could get (I think they responded too late for that). Late is better than never I guess.

HOwever, the rest of my family is in Arkansas and the schools went online this week and next week is spring break and they plan to resume the week after like normal! I’m just baffled…
Hoping all who are sick have a speedy recovery.

So sorry @MG and @Ver about your dog.

Our oldest dog (who is 11) isn’t doing so well. I was off the last two weeks and didn’t realize how bad he was until I was home most of the time. The vet said it could be cushings (which I didn’t know pets get). So got to try and get him some help with that.

I was also sick during the holidays – a bad, bad cold. I really hated being sick when I was home from work. That was supposed to be my time (and family time)!

@Copa – that sounds amazing! Our next trip I think will be in June going to the Grand Cayman Islands! Can’t wait to go 🙂

So back to what I was trying to say…
Sorry about your breakup @Scorpio. Breakups are hard.

I too hate how close Thanksgiving and Christmas are together. Though we live too far away from family to celebrate with family every year now. So it’ll just be my husband, youngest daughter and me for both this year I think. I’m fine with it though I do miss the bigger family gatherings back home sometimes.

And @Ver I’m sorry your SIL is on the not-so-nice side. I have a wonderful SIL that my brother married. She is honestly one of the nicest people I know and I feel very grateful after reading some of your stories.

Ok – I was just typing up some stuff to say and a huge ass Lexus add popped up with no way to close the damn thing. It took up the entire middle of the screen. I even clicked on the add to see if that would work but it did not. I also have add blocker so I’m not sure what happened with that one. It’s happened to me before (though not in a long time) on other sites too (so not blaming the site or anything). Just expressing how annoying it is to have an add and no way to exit it.
